Hey guys!

I'm starting a brand now all star program here in Ireland. We've been working along side a gymnastics club for the last year, getting a team of athletes together, working skills, beginning to develop a program. This year we've finally been given the go ahead to break off into our own 'cheer gym' if you like with the financial backing of the gymnastics club. We've been working under their name for the last year, they're known as Olympian Gymnastics Club. Now that we actually have our own program we want a name separate from the gymnastics club.

I'm looking to get as much input as I can from all branches of the cheer community. We need colours, an overall program name and names for two all girl teams (Level 2 & Level 3.) The club is based in South Dublin, Ireland. So far we've toyed with the idea of 'Leinster All Stars' using the colours Navy, Yellow & White and naming the two teams 'Leinster Blue Storm' & 'Leinster Lady Lightening' but then we didn't want to seem like we were copying off ICE Lady Lightening despite being based around 4,000 miles away..

Anyway, have you guys got suggestions? I would LOVE to hear them!

I think it would be cool if you had team names like Mini 1 could be Mini Shamrocks, Junior 2 could be Green, Senior 3 Orange, Senior 4 Emeralds, Senior 5 Rainbow..etc
Your colors could be Green & White, or something like that. I like the idea of really incorporating your country so if you do go to Worlds, people would know where you're from! :)

Legacy of Leinster
Allstar Cheerleading

(Other possibilities- legion or legends of Leinster?)

For the team names you could:
-use different patterns (polka dot, plaid, zig zag)
-use things related to a legacy/story (Hero, adventure, mystery, magic)
-describing verbs (allure, charm, dazzle, enchant)
-electric theme (magnetic, pulse, shock, current, electricity, lightning, thunder, neon, charge, voltage, energy)

Colors could be blue and gold, or maybe green and metallic gold like the Leinster flag?

Throwing out some brainstorming ideas....

I don't care for location based names. Looking forward, if you ever opened a gym elsewhere it gets weird. And yes, I know there are big gyms that do it, and yes, I still think it's weird.

I also understand that just because you're a foreign team, doesn't mean you necessarily want to be all about your country. Like there's a lot more to you guys than just being Irish. If I were gonna open up a gym in the USA, I wouldn't necessarily make the colors red white and blue so people would know where I was from at worlds.

Think about what kind of image you want your program to have. Do you want to be more strong and athletic or more sassy and girly. Because the names Cheer Royalty and Electric Allstars (both of which I like...) bring to mind a very different color scheme, uniform style, name theme, etc.

You took the words right out of my mouth! I was just about to post a rant about the many different dynamics to choosing a Gym/Team names but this sums it all up for me! :)
