Not necessarily. ...back up your posts with facts. "Some website" doesnt exactly cut it.. Although there may be some issues with the gym, your posts are lacking credibility

By "people", you mean you. Let's be honest here. Hey look, you were right. Yay. Perhaps, though, a link to "some state website" would be prudent to your case.

No, not just her. Many of us said it and were pretty much told to shut up. So I did (for once. ;) ) Just to defend Icheergirl a little (although I don't know her so I can only add what I do know): she said weeks ago that she had more proof, but she was told to keep it classy and not post it. So she didn't. Then she got jumped all over for saying something and not being able to back it up. And she was pretty much told that what she was saying wasn't true. I, for one, will say that it is incredibly frustrating when you say something that you know to be fact and people accuse you of lying.

As for the way she started the other thread so innocently, when her intent was probably just to start drama, that's on her. I can't help that. Not the way I would have done it, but I'm older and wiser. But you all had to know that if this gym ended up closing, that the people who said it weeeeeeks ago were surely going to come back on and say "Told ya!"

Now, carry on... :enjoyshow:

Very sad...honestly can't tell anything specific from the filing info but sad none the less for the families and kids.:(

I was trying to emphasize that, once again, she's starting a thread and not claiming credit as the source of the information. I don't have a problem whatsoever with her information, nor am I trying to call anyone a liar. OP should take credit for revealing the information - it is much, much less shady that way, rather than throwing around a nebulous "people said" or "I heard" or whatever the other thread was started with.

Fair enough. I know you weren't calling her a liar - I was more referring to the other thread on that one. I believe she is quite young. When I was young "some state website" would count as a source. I don't think someone in that age bracket knows where to look for court records. I would imagine she has been chomping at the bit to post this, so she could be vindicated - so waiting for a valid source just was out of the question. :D

Truthfully I haven't clicked on the link and looked at the court papers anyway - "some state website" is good enough for me. I'm too lazy and too busy to sort through some court documents. I'll let the FBI (Fierce Board Investigators) handle it for me and report back here any facts that they find. :p

whatever, but is ok for owner and her friends to lie and treat girls who left like crap on social media knowing this was happening. your right that was correct thing to do, and continue to take peoples money knowing that closing could happen. but my post is wrong. i started thread that way because of people like you. i sure would want to know if my money was going to be lost and if owner continued to lie and take my money. blame the owner not me she was one that lied the whole time.

Too late to edit:

I will add that I'm still saddened by this. I really hate to see these kids have to go through this again. But I guess this is just the way of Illinois cheer. I'm thinking if you're going to cheer here you should just accept that this is part of it. :(

It is sad for these families, especially when it was so avoidable. I cannot comprehend how one owner could so completely throw her business partner and friend of 10 years under the bus for a well known trouble maker. This would never have happened had one owner taken her partner's advice and gotten rid of the problem! A good program might be ruined for no reason at all.

I just can't see the positive value in these kinds of threads, and not just because it is an Illinois team. I like how we hear "families have a right to know", but I would bet 80% or more of the cheer families in Illinois and probably most states don't follow this board, especially in summer. And the other 20% are getting the poop somewhere else.

It amounts to gossip and drama at someone's expense - in this case someone who has run a program successfully for years and has shown as much passion for the sport as anyone I know. Nobody comes out a winner here. I don't know about anyone else, but I don't feel better, smarter, more worldly, more informed, more important because now I know all the dirt about why another good program may die.

Huh?
Did I miss something?
A well known trouble maker?
