I have to agree with you about the fact the show is about a team other than Level 5. That is really a big part of why I have watched it. I'm sure their drama is no more than anyone else, we just get to see the worst of it. It's all about the egos. Always has been always will.
They may say it is about a "youth 2".... but all i saw was tucks, fulls, and doubles being thrown by "youth 2" kids.... I think it is about a team that is unsuccessfully trying to sandbag. On national tv.

Yeah...when we watched the first episode, I asked DH, "Is Youth Silver level 3 this year?" Hmmm....

Im pretty sure this was the first time I've seen a golden shower reference on fierceboard lol @Weezy
I'm not sure if the pee was real but as far as manufacturing drama, the level 6 drama was real and possibly downplayed (I've only watched the first episode that Alicia was practicing with Us so things might have changed)
We had someone quit after New Orleans and Alicia wasnt an alternate but actually on the team as a replacement. We ended up not going to US finals as originally planned. I have no idea what will be edited as the season goes or if the six will get ignored. I'm almost positive us not competing is why the chose to portray her as an alternate.

I actually thought the level 6 stuff was real. I am sorry that your team had to give up competing.

But the other stuff? Ok - how many other gyms out there have had a parent camp out with team building activities? Really? That is what I mean by manufactured - please just keep with the cheer stuff. I have no use for any of the parents (except for Mandy). JMHO

I like her. And she brought Ambien to the parent camp. (Which I agree with you about 100%; who has the time, money or inclination to do that?)

I don't really think it's that bad.

If that makes your want to puke, just think of the other remedies that third world countries use.

I'm not sure if anyone is watching, but they're doing a mud run 5K and one of the moms just peed in the mud pit :(But watching the blonde mom (Ann?) freak out is hilarious.
I felt kind of bad for her actually, but then again, she was acting like a 5 year old.

I wonder if it's a difference in the way the comps handled the show.. Just for my CP to enter the building at Americheer for last weeks episode, I had to sign a waiver and she had to have her photo taken by the production company with the waiver in her hands. We were at Xtreme Spirit for this weeks episode as well but did not do anything like that. The way they read the results and how they showed the comp itself was so different. It's crazy to think that they did not show any footage at all of the winning team. I mean, unless I missed it, they didn't even pan past them in the awards ceremony.

Out of interest, what would have happened if you DIDN'T sign the waiver? Were you told in advance by the EP that to enter the competition all athletes must sign a waiver?

@BowCat I'm not sure. We were just told by our program to sign it, so we did. My guess would be that they would have either had to try to avoid her in footage or blur her face. There must be laws about time you're shown or something before you have to sign one because they show a ton of footage of my mother and a little of my son and myself but none of us had waivers because we were just spectators. They tried to make it appear mandatory, I'm sure mostly because it was a very small comp (divisions had 2-3 teams, none above level 3 I don't think) but I know there are people that don't sign that stuff for religious reasons so I don't think they would have denied entry.
