who cares that the soft spots in her head aren't even gone yet? a little concrete won't hurt!

she very clearly doesn't want to stunt in the interviews, but they do it anyway. at one point in the beach video, I swear you can actually see the moment her adrenals kick in and go into fight or flight as survival mode. smiling and giggling doesn't mean anything. she's two. all she wants is her parents love and affection. which I'm sure she gets after she stunts.

I'm up to like twenty counts of child endangerment.. but let's praise them and encourage other parents or siblings to try this with their own baby. I'm not saying she isn't cute or have superb body control for a two year old. except that control probably comes from being tossed as an infant. it isn't safe. period.

Agreed.

I don't understand how 3 year old BHS is so popular on here... and we seemed to have a strong majority that agreed that that wasn't the best idea. But 2 year old stunting is "adorbs" and "Omg this could not be cuter!"? How is this different? If Jocelyn's mama had decided to post a video of an adorable little tumbling phenom, would the thread have been different?

My dad would toss me up in the air and catch me when I was a toddler, but you can sure as hell bet my mom was standing right by him, telling him to stop it. But it was nothing like that and never involved flips and never that high. I mean the dad at least has a cheer background and seems to know what he's doing, but it just doesn't seem like it's good to have that much stress on a little, growing body. And flukes happen people…

I feel like I missed something huge there...

ok i earlier i said in another thread "i couldnt imagine throwing my two year old nephew around like that." but then my sister (and babys mom) did this and i just had to snap a picture hahaha.

My fave are the #futuresmoed #futurecheetah #futureUKcheerleader etc. on some of the "baby cheer" kid instagram pics.

Your kid is 3. She can't even tell you what she wants to do tomorrow. How do you even know she'll be interested in cheer by age 5, much less when she's senior age?

Less than 10 percent of kids will EVER be on a Worlds team or a D1A college team, much less a well-known one like the ones mentioned.

I almost feel badly for the kids because many of them will lose interest as they get old. Even if they don't, they may max out at a (gasp) non-Worlds level. Or mental block. Mom and dad will likely have an aneurysm (a la those moms who go nuts when their baby girl gets old enough to dislike the pageants she's been entering since age 2.)

I can't get Mini to do The Wobble for comp'ny even though he loves doing it when nobody else is around. Pretty sure a Good Morning America appearance wouldn't go over well either.

I'm sorry but I find it unacceptable that your nephew so obviously needs a backspot. Please tell your sister to work on this some more. :p

I watched the clip this morning and didn't he say the gym wanted her on a team? A two year old on a team?! (I already think 3-4 years old is too young for a competitive tinies.)
Since there is no bottom age for a junior team, I think that is a splendid idea. She can show those 14 year olds who's the boss. And teach them how to change a diaper mid-routine.

EXACTLY. We clearly were all in agreement there that kids shouldn't even be bridging until at least 4 or 5 because of the dangers there. Why do we think this is ok?
