100! But credit goes to @emma_tuttle for the Vermont/New Hampshire secret, otherwise those would have been a complete guess.

Okay...true student story. Teacher in tears (the I can't breathe I'm laughing so hard kind) brought me a student test paper. It was a states test. The point of interest was how the kid spelled Massachusetts.....I can't spell Massachusetts or Connecticut.... Its like my brain refuses to learn.
Spell check helped me.
That's exactly how I was taught to keep them separate..the V shaped state is Vermont so the other has to be NH!100! But credit goes to @emma_tuttle for the Vermont/New Hampshire secret, otherwise those would have been a complete guess.
If it's shaped like pie it's gotta be pecan pie. It is SC after all.
I feel bad...I honestly didn't think about it being taken that way. It was completely unintentional and I didn't mean anything like that. I honestly just assumed it was common that people knew states by shape. It was probably because my teacher/s worked so hard on repetition and memorization. We had a whole unit on states. Placement, abbreviations, capitals, all of it. I think each test all we got was an unmarked map of the United States and we had to label whatever that test was on.Don't know if y'all meant them this way, but OK, we get it. Only the stupidest people alive wouldn't know what some state they've never been to looks like by just its shape.
I was also top of my class, had a 4.0 in college, and got a 100% on that little quiz there. I still probably wouldn't know every state by shape alone, if done in rhinestones on the back of a cheer uniform. It's really not that serious - or stupid. And yes, I know them on a map, and yes I know all the capitals. Guess my school just worked more on punctuation, spelling and grammar, and less on state shapes. (yes, I'm saying that some of the people commenting on how stupid we all are might want to do some proofreading)
I swear @Kris10boo could have a PhD in physics or cure cancer and people would find a way to call her dumb on here. If anyone else had said that same thing, this whole thread would be different.
