I can't spell Massachusetts or Connecticut.... Its like my brain refuses to learn.

Spell check helped me.
Okay...true student story. Teacher in tears (the I can't breathe I'm laughing so hard kind) brought me a student test paper. It was a states test. The point of interest was how the kid spelled Massachusetts.....

Masatwoshits.

You can't make this massatwoshit up.

@Just-a-Mom My niece is as smart as they come. One night we were playing a game and it asked for the capital of Rhode Island and she got this weird look on her face and asked, "Wait? Rhode Island is a state?" We all have our moments.

So y'all can't get 100% and name a state in it's correct shape on a map with all the states around is using process of elimination but y'all without a doubt all know the shape of SC.

I'm speaking in general not to everyone of course!

Don't know if y'all meant them this way, but OK, we get it. Only the stupidest people alive wouldn't know what some state they've never been to looks like by just its shape.:rolleyes::rolleyes:

I was also top of my class, had a 4.0 in college, and got a 100% on that little quiz there. I still probably wouldn't know every state by shape alone, if done in rhinestones on the back of a cheer uniform. It's really not that serious - or stupid. And yes, I know them on a map, and yes I know all the capitals. Guess my school just worked more on punctuation, spelling and grammar, and less on state shapes. (yes, I'm saying that some of the people commenting on how stupid we all are might want to do some proofreading)

I swear @Kris10boo could have a PhD in physics or cure cancer and people would find a way to call her dumb on here. If anyone else had said that same thing, this whole thread would be different.

I feel bad...I honestly didn't think about it being taken that way. It was completely unintentional and I didn't mean anything like that. I honestly just assumed it was common that people knew states by shape. It was probably because my teacher/s worked so hard on repetition and memorization. We had a whole unit on states. Placement, abbreviations, capitals, all of it. I think each test all we got was an unmarked map of the United States and we had to label whatever that test was on.
I'll get off my high horse now. I didn't know the west as well as I thought I did

100! (Insert that emoji where the girl holds her hand out sassily) Honestly Indiana and Illinois threw me off more than anything. (Never been anywhere near there.) I don't know about anyone else, but I was forced to learn to label the map in 3rd grade, along with the correct spelling and abbreviations of the states and their capitals. I distinctly remember making a 99 because I forgot the capital or Rhode Island.

Woohoo 86%

I guessed on quite a few and somehow I was almost always right. Only a couple really threw me off. Wish I had remembered the V for Vermont trick.

Daaaaannnnng. I'm not that bad fortunately. I always try to spell them Massachusettes and Connecticuit.

I'm just hell bent on adding an extra vowel.

Also I got 100% on that test but again....useless talent of mine

Also since this whole discussion jumped off from my post...although I thought was very obvious that I was saying it in jest.....I want everyone to know that I don't think any of y'all are ignorant or stupid....for not recognizing the 8th state to ratify the US constitution. Like I'm all busy tied up thinking my coworker is stupid for asking me if the Malaysia Airlines flight that went down today was the one that's been missing since March.

Like it is a-okay in my book if y'all can't recognize SC. Be great.
