So who only comes here just to read of all the things that you are doing wrong when it comes to the english language?

Ok just me?

I will say I'm now trying to be conscious of all the things that I find that I'm frequently guilty of so I can stop and not annoy anyone else lol

I love seeing the way other countries/regions say things! One word can be said so many different ways and each is the "right" way to them.

You guys should try say some Scottish words.... Anyone heard of the name Eilidh? How do you think that is said?
(uk people on the board don't count haha)

Some older Mainers say Japan like "Jap-an" and China as "Chai-ner." It's kind of cute.

But... It's so cute!

Eyelid? That's how I would sound it out. Lol. I know that's not right but I have no idea.

Ayliv? Wait it might be the "mbh" that makes "v" sound. I have no idea.

Good vs well. I'm not sorry that I correct people on it all the time.
Also - ending sentences with at. "Where's it at?" This one I got from my dad, who corrects my brothers on it 10 times a day.
Another thing I got from my dad: eg. vs i.e.
I.e.= that is, e.g. = for example

There's an episode of 30 Rock where one of the characters asks how someone else is doing. When they tell him that they're "doing good" he says, "no. Superman does good. You're doing well."

Soffe shorts and Nutella don't make sense to me. Soffe is supposed to be pronounced "Sophie" according to what they had on their site like 4 years ago... But the two fs? Like what...I feel like it should be pronounced like soft. And Nutella shout be pronounced nut-Ella not newtella because it's made of hazelNUT. But if you look it up it's supposed to be pronounced like newt. WHYYYYY it bothers me so much (and I still pronounce them my way)

LMAO OKAY I FORGOT ONE:

SO THIS HIGH SCHOOL HAD A SIGN IN FRONT OF THEIR SCHOOL THAT WAS SUPPOSED TO SAY 'PUBLIC HIGH SCHOOL' BUT THE SIGN COMPANY FORGOT THE 'L' IN 'PUBLIC' AND SOMEONE TOOK A PHOTO AND IT WENT VIRAL ON TWITTER.

LMAO

It was funny.

Every single time you post I am more sure that we are the same person. Literally. I don't know what it is. (Also, I mentioned you in an English journal the other day. Not your name or anything just about a girl I'm really similar to :) )
