absolutely not!!!

pittsburgh poison is comin through your area, causin mass hysteria!

What is your basis for this statement?

"One mans" (one base, one flyer) are legal at level 1 below prep level. If you add a spotter, they're legal in level 1 at prep level. One base, one flyer, one spotter is legal at extended level (in a 2 leg stunt) in level 2. Spotters do not have to touch the stunt. The USASF definition of spotter is:

A person whose primary responsibility is the protection of the head and shoulders area of a top person during the performance of a stunt/toss. The spotter must be positioned to the side or the back of the stunt/toss.
Must be in direct contact with the performing surface.
Must be attentive to the skill being spotted.
Spotter is required for each extended stunt.
Must be in the proper position to prevent injuries and does not have to be in direct contact with the stunt.
Cannot stand so that their torso is under a stunt.
A spotter may grab the wrist(s) of the base(s), other parts of the base(s) arms, the top person(s) legs/ankles, or does not have to touch the stunt at all.
The spotter may not have both hands under the sole of the top person’s foot/feet or under the hands of the bases. The spotter may have one hand under the foot as long as the other hand is placed either at the back wrist of a base or at the back side of the ankle of the top person.
All “Spotters” must be your own team’s members and be trained in proper spotting techniques.
Spotters may also be counted as a base in some cases (e.g. transitional stunts).

So, unless your idea of a "one man" involves no spotter whatsoever at extended level (or is in some other way illegal in level 2, i.e. an extended one leg stunt), then yes, single based stunts are legal in level 2.

I can't figure out how to edit on my phone, but I should have mentioned that released entries (tosses) to single based stunts are not legal in level 2 (or 1). That falls under my "otherwise legal in level 2" caveat. You can't release the flyer to get into the stunt.

Are one man's legal in level 2?

Like others have said, yes with someone who is a spotter if it goes extended.

You can do a one-man stunt if it is a walk in to hands/extension by the one base or can be assisted and then the spotter lets go once the stunt hits. For example, use two bases to get it to prep, spotters steps back to watch and the base presses it to extension.

My daughter does a partner stunt with her Youth 2 team. We don't get safety deductions, so it must be legal.

Ok I have two questions for you! All level 2!

1.We do walk in (base holding flyers foot and half up to one man) with spotter behind. Legal, correct? When cradling does the spotter have to catch like a Backspot or can they turn and catch body with the main base?

2. If we do one mans WITH the spotter on the side and they hold shoe AND ankle of flyer, we do not need additional spotter behind, correct? JUST if co base holds whole foot? Then you'd need the other spotter behind? Just wanna clarify :) thank you!!

1. Flyer turns no more than 1/2 turn? Legal. For the cradle, from Level 2 Dismounts:
A. Cradles from single based stunts must have a separate spotter with at least one hand-arm supporting the waist to
shoulder region to protect the head and shoulder area through the cradle.
B. Cradles from multi-based stunts must have two catchers and a separate spotter with at least one hand-arm
supporting the waist to shoulder region to protect the head and shoulder area through the cradle.

So, yes, it is legal for a single based stunt (1 base, 1 spotter) to have both catchers catch the cradle from the side (one hand-arm supporting the waist to shoulder region, etc.) instead of having the spotter stay in the more traditional "back spot" position.

2. In level 2, you only need a spotter ABOVE prep level. Therefore, at prep level, both persons under the stunt can have the foot, no ankle necessary. HOWEVER, and this is a big one, if you have both people under the stunt in the position of bases (both under the foot, no "spotter" on the BACK of the ankle) it is considered a multi-based stunt and you MUST have two catchers AND a separate spotter if you cradle from this position (three people under the flyer total for the cradle).

Clear as mud, right? So, if you want to keep only two people under the stunt through the end of the cradle, make sure one has the BACK of the ankle so she/he can be considered a spotter and then you will only need two catchers for a cradle from the "single based stunt".

Perfection!!! That's how were doing it! I have walk in hand one mans with one base and a spotter behind. And I have walkin hands with a side base but before they go to full the side "base" switches to ankle with one hand :) so were golden! Thank youuuu!!
