We have the CIF boys basketball semi-finals at our school tonight. Tickets go on sale at three and people started lining up outside our student store at 11:30...there are literally people with lawn chairs! People are coordinating bathroom breaks and food runs with their friends and school security is patrolling the line...this is absolutely crazy!
Update: a group of students convinced security to let us chip in and order 10 pizzas for everyone in line to share.

So what is worse than being a type 1 diabetic with an ear infection...being a type 1 diabetic with TWO ear infections! Whyyyyyy?!

Congrats! My oldest was very involved with her yearbook the past few years and was features editor this year (she is also a senior). There is definitely something very bittersweet about finishing it, but you will have something tangible to represent all the time you spent working on making an incredible keepsake for yourself and everyone else in your graduating class.
Soo, apparently I'm not getting notifications from Tapatalk bc I just saw both of these by accident. Thanks though! I'm student editor (because our real editor is our teacher) and I actually don't think it could be any more perfect this year. I'm so excited to get them and for everyone to see everything but at the same time I don't want to get my last yearbook because it's sad. Lol, I've felt very conflicted all year with this graduating business.
I was an Editor in Chief my senior year! So much work goes into the yearbook and you don't even realize until you're in it that it needs to be done so early in the school year!
That's awesome! It is so much work, and anything that can go wrong will. (This year we had to reschedule club picture day twice, someone lost the disk with the homecoming pictures on it, and one of our really good staff members was out for like a month with a knee surgery.) But now that it's done we can chill and watch Netflix (we started with the Disney version of Hercules today, haha.)

Eek! I'm so sorry! I'm not sure how diabetes affect ear infections but they are the worst. I used to get them all the time when I was younger and having a double ear infection is 7,000 times worse than just one. Especially when you're trying to sleep. I feel your pain. The absolute worst double ear infection I ever had was when I had double swimmers ear at the same exact time. I hope it heals quickly for you, ear infections are no joke!

Infections in general usually run your blood sugars on the high side lol so I'm preparing for the worst by having two ear infections. On top of that my head is so congested and my sinuses are going to explode. But I can deal with that I just am not dealing well with my ears! I've had literally hundreds of ear infections but at 25 years old in over it haha haven't had an ear infection in 10 years! Not impressed:p hoping the antibiotics kick in quick!

Also thank god for my insulin pump so I can stay in top of my blood sugars!

YOU'RE ALREADY DONE WITH YOUR YEARBOOK???? When I was on staff in high school we worked on ours until the last day of school (literally) and submitted it sometime in May. But we covered prom and all spring sports and graduation in ours so it took forever. I wasn't an editor but my best friend was and it is such a big deal! I loved yearbook!!

I was wondering how they were done already too! We have until March 20 - so not much longer - but spring sports started yesterday so I can't imagine finishing that early! I'm Editor In Chief and stressing about getting everything done in the next 2.5 weeks, if It had to be done already I think everyone would hate me and I'd have no hair left  Our delivery date is May 7!

I did yearbook one year and we submitted around mid-March. We covered spring sports/prom/anything else around that time in the following year's book.

I know when I had ear infections, I would sleep or lean on the ear that was infected. At first it kills but after a couple of minutes it was a lot more tolerable. It always felt like there was so much pressure on my ear that I would rather put pressure on it than have it do it itself.

That probably doesn't make sense, haha I don't know how to explain it but that always helped me. Of course that's hard to do when you have a double ear infection which is why they are exponentially worse than a single ear infection.

I hope your medicine kicks in fast! Hopefully you can get some sleep, too!

I can't remember what I used to do since its been so long lol but that makes sense! I've been all over the place when I sleep haha I never used to sleep on my back but I have been recently so who knows what I'll decide to do haha

And I hope so too! I have a fever now too so I'm hoping I get better or at least a lot better by Friday because I have a date lol

Okay so for the last 2 months or so I have been having excruciating shoulder pain like right where my shoulder blade is. I thought it was from spotting but I spot with my left arm and not my right where my pain is. It feels like someone is stabbing me and the last week or so it's gotten SO much worse! Does anyone know what it might be? Cause I'm about to go insane

When I was in high school they covered everything so the boots weren't submitted till sometime towards the end of may and we were able to pick them up in August.

What about the seniors that left for college? Do people not sign each other's yearbooks?

Like cheerkt said (because we went to the same high school) our prom and spring sports for covered in the following years yearbook (which sucked about the prom thing but by that time in your life you don't truly care)

Although I'm pretty sure that when I was there some current spring pictures of sports made it----the first few games, roster and team picture

But like if a spring sport won a state championship it would be in the following heads book

And we always got yearbooks the seniors last week of school. Which was like a week or two before everyone else's

My high school had like extra pages that were put in for spring sports. It's kind of hard to describe, but they weren't part of the actual yearbook, it was like they left a blank page for them and glued in a folded smaller page that had all the spring sports/prom, etc. It didn't look bad or anything and I think it was a nice way to get everything done in time for people to have it 2 weeks or so before school ended. I don't think I would like having my spring sports team's stuff in the next yearbook, especially for the seniors.

When did you give out the books? We needed ours to hand out in early June so we never covered spring sports (or perhaps they were in the next year's yearbook). I don't remember what we did come spring time, probably fund raise and plan for the next year or something.

ETA: reading fail. I should read all replied before I post. You gave yours out late summer.

We got yearbooks on the last two weeks of school.... It sat in the bottom of my locker the entire time cause I was to busy studying for finals and freaking out about my grades to even remember to get anyone to sign it, oops lol.
