Last time we went we had dinner one evening at Pittypats Porch and loved it! If you're staying within walking distance of the competiton it is walking distance to the restaurant as well. The dining room is actaully below the building and the upstairs where you walk in is a Rocking Chair bar. It's a really cool experience with great southern food

It's the most convenient place to park, and it sells out very quickly.

You will have to Uber there but Fat Matt's Rib Shack is awesome. Also Three Dollar Cafe. Be prepared to walk your butt off. That place is huge!!

Bless you! And my advice is...if at all possible, book a hotel within walking distance. I know the rates are asinine...but the traffic is horrific, and parking in the area is a disaster. If you can't stay in walking distance, just Uber everywhere, every time. Nothing good can come from driving in that traffic hellhole.

Is it true that every athlete that competes at Cheersport gets a blanket free? Someone told me that when I mentioned that I was going to pick one up for CP on Friday before all the craziness.

Yes, we have quite the collection at this point.

Yep! We truly have a collection of Cheersport blankets! It's best to get them as early as you can before the crowds....but if you wait until the end of the competition (when all the teams are done) you may be able to get extras. Some from years past! We got a bunch 2 years ago.

Excuse all my questions but what do you mean by "get them early"? Does she just walk up and pick one up wherever they are?

So quick update:

CP had her surgery 10/4 and she was cleared to cheer by her doctor at today's appointment! So we'll be seeing you at Cheersport!
