They could choose not to take the team that competes as X small. Hypothetically, that team could compete all season except Worlds.

You should compete in the division you have to compete in at Worlds especially at a World Bid event.
That is for USASF and Varsity to work out. To really fix the issue Worlds programs should be defined as D1 and D2 but this is their solution until that happens. Until both companies are on the same page they will be placed in XS at all Varsity events. There are a few gyms I have seen in this situation and I find it unfortunate that there is this perception that they are doing something wrong because USASF and Varsity have different rules and that people aren't aware of the difference.

Why is this even being spoken about as an option?
Why can’t we just let CJA compete how they want?

I love CJA. Only discussing it because they can't compete x small and another world division at Worlds. The rules don't allow it.

If they earn a bid as an xsmall and Gunz has a bid too, they would just be placed in small. There's no rule against that.

Yes that’s why as someone said, if they receive a bid they’ll have to compete in Small all girl at worlds no matter what. But they can still get their bid while competing normal season comps in XS. Hope that helps

Yes, I am just saying there are different options. You can declare if you don't want to accept a bid. Doubtful, but if a group wanted to have fun, dominate, and compete in the X small division all season, but not mess with Worlds it would be an option.

* No one is required to go to Worlds.

So in theory any gym could compete xsmall and get bids, then get bids for their other teams, so they compete small and gyms with only one team (that happens to be xsmall) are shut out. So there is no xsmall division at all at worlds. I know that is an unlikely scenario, but yep, the rules need to correspond to keep that scenario from happening.

Typically bids aren't assigned to a specific division. So if a team earns a bid as an xsmall team, they likely would have earned the bid if they had competed small too. So it shouldn't really make too much of a difference.

Thanks for the info
