Our gym does not compete at 2 days comps like this one. Can someone explain to me how it works? You perform both days. Do they average your score from both days, use the higher score?

Depends on the EP. Sometimes the score is averaged. Other times Day 1 is worth 25% and Day 2 is worth 75%. Some EP's take the highest score and drop the lowest.

And you will never know unless a coach/gym owner tells you because most of the time that info isn't released for the public :(

I remember my coach telling me at practice that its 25% Saturday and 75% Sunday.

I took a look at the schedule and I see that in at least one division there are both D1 and D2 teams. In other words, I know a team is a D2 gym but they don't have D2 after their team name. There are no teams identified as D2 in that division. Does this mean that they are competing for a D1 bid? Bids are available for both Summit and D2.

Is there a D2 split for that division? If there's not enough teams to have 2 separate divisions, they'll be combined, but then they can still go for the D2 bid.

OK thanks. There aren't any other D2 teams listed for the age/level so I guess it's combined.

I'm still not sure how bids are awarded. I thought that last year there was verbage stating "at the discretion of the EP" which basically gave then free reign. I remember seeing a different and more clear answer this year but now I can't find where I saw that.

Varsity has a more well-defined bid declaration this year, it is dependent on the type of competition.
