Well ATC grew... hoping they split divisions A/B because some of those look a little large...

They are following division splits to keep less than 10 but they don't make sense. Youth 2 is split up as "youth small" and "youth A". But youth A is all small teams except for one large. And no d2 split,
Yet other divisions have d2 separated out.
there aren't more than 10 d2 y2 teams, so why not do d1/d2 and no size split.

Makes no sense to me...

That is so weird to split some d2 and not all, somewhat unfair honestly. Don't understand the inconsistency, hoping a lot of owners/coaches complain and they change it haha. It's definitely going to be interesting this year with more Cali/AZ teams coming!

Youth 2 always seems to be the most crowded divosion and splits like this don’t make it any easier

Are International teams given the option to compete in whichever division they want? I know Sonic and NW stars both have int bids but I saw on the schedule that they are in the regular division and not listed as int. Could this be because they are going for paid bids?

Surprisingly Y2 has been a smaller division in the PNW this year and last. I think it has to do with gym size and choosing to field a Youth 1 & Junior 2 team's instead - those division has been basically a "bread and butter" team for every gym in the area.

I was curious about this as well. I did notice that the 2 teams who are currently listed as competing international (I forgot to include these on my initial lists - Rockstar J2 & Peak Athletics J4) only compete 1x on Friday. Then those two same teams (same team name and # of athletes) are also listed as regular J2 and J4 teams on the Sat/Sun schedule.

Registration for this comp was due EXTREMELY early in the season (like fall of last year) so I think teams didn't know they were going to be competing as international at the time. I imagine quite a few teams will switch over....or add?.... when they see the schedule because at the moment, 2 bids are up for grabs.

Which Rockstar location is it? Lol- AZ? I seriously have lost track of all the locations.

Is there still a rule where Canadian teams can't get worlds bids here? I haven't been keeping up with all the rule changes and stuff happening this year.

I’ve read that a “international” team can also compete in the normal divisions (not sure what to call them) So one team with the same kids, at the same level can get a summit bid and a international bid.
After this weekends summit bid reveal I’ve seen a lot of PNW teams doing that.

The only thing I’ve read that might be a problem for these teams is the international divisions are at the summit and some of the teams with internationals bids usually go for D2 summit bids. You can’t complete at the summit and d2 summit this year
Are crossovers allowed between The Summit and D2 Summit? NEW This Season - -No athlete can compete at both The Summit and the D2 Summit in the same competitive season.
