Any suggestions on where to stay? Never been here before.

I guess it depends on what you're looking for. A lot of families like to stay close so they can walk to the convention center, although the weather in Wildwood in March can be bitter cold with the wind coming off the ocean.

There are no 'nice' hotels as Wildwood is an older beach community and is a bit rundown...probably ready for a good facelift! There is one hotel, the Iocona (I believe that's how it's spelled)...it's a few miles down the road, but it is one of the nicer hotels in the general area.

We've also had families stay in near by Cape May which is a quaint little town with a totally different vibe and a nicer hotel selection. Many families try to rent "condos" for the weekend. While I've never done this personally, they seem to be readily available and give you your best bang for your buck!

I'm not sure if any of that was helpful as a start, but good luck in your search and I hope you have a GREAT experience in Wildwood!

The last two times we were there for a comp we rented condos through VRBO. Worked out very well, we shared with three other moms and cheerleaders, all brought our own food and drinks and were very comfortable. Price was very reasonable as it is off season there and pretty deserted.

Looks like they're having a delayed start tomorrow. Schedule was pushed back 2 hours for all teams. Safe travels everyone!
