Just compared them side by side, only small differences from this years. Technique for building and tumbling as well as pyramid/stunt creativity are just one range now instead of 3 or 2 ranges respectively. Most of the numbers for "most" went down by a couple people for tumbling/jumps. And tiny/mini don't need a variety of jumps. Those are really the only changes.
One other small note that was added is that it says that in order for a stunt skill to receive full credit, it must be controlled throughout the entire skill.

So bobbles will cause you to get dinged?

I just hope that the coaches don't start watering down their routines and opt for basic stunts and pyramids. I would rather see a creative more difficult stunt/pyramid sequence with a tiny bobble then watching the paint dry. JS
I'm sure you will see this happen. It seems the Varsity score sheet has dumbed everything down across the board. More athletes on the floor doing less, more basic skills. I was not a fan of the changes that were made this year especially with the ratios and now they are making it even worse.

LOL! Now we may have to start an "Extreme" All Star Cheer League not really extreme just doing what they say or suggest we can't do anymore. ROFL!

All star rubric scoring sucks. I went to one of the US Finals events and was bored out of my mind. I used to go watch competitions and watch all of the teams just to see what I could cherry pick from them. Even levels 1 and 2 used to have some creative tidbits that could be converted to a real skill. Now every routine is exactly the same skills over and over and over. If I had to judge this crap, I’d go home and pour acid in my eyes.

The shift is to less elite, small squad, levels 1 and 2. Level 1 should be on a 90 point scale. When you have 14 year old Junior 1 squads with 4 count moves, back walkovers, and no baskets pulling bids from the same age throwing whip layouts and full extension one count moves with body positions unsupported..its a sad day in the industry.
Gyms should not be rewarded for placing level 4/5 athletes on level 1 and level 2 teams just to win a title and market their gyms as champions. Varsity is pushing the bar lower and taking away the drive and excellence of elitist.
