Does anyone know if Flo Cheer streams are geoblock this year? I remember reading some time ago (not sure if it was NCA) that people from certain countries couldn't watch the feed because they were geoblocked.

I'm planning on getting the one-month subscription again this year, but need to be absolutely sure I can actually watch it... I can't imagine having to watch through a VPN when the feed already struggles sometimes.
Sent them an email and got this response, doesn't look like it will be available for you without a VPN unfortunately :(

"Thanks for reaching out. Currently, the live streaming is only available in the United States, Canada & United Kingdom. However, all other PRO content on FloCheer is available worldwide, including all routine videos, original documentaries and more.

We are working hard to secure the music rights internationally heading into The Cheerleading and Dance Worlds. We recommend signing up for PRO and if you are geo-blocked from the live stream, and not interested in watching the routine videos posted in real-time during the event, please email us back immediately for a refund."

Ugh, damn it... thank you so much for retrieving this information though, at least I know for sure now.

For those that are non-UK/Canada/US: so far I've watched all of Varsity/FloCheer live streams via VPN without major issues, so I'd definitely recommend that.
The only thing to keep in mind: you're usually a little behind those in the US, so during awards, you might want to avoid refreshing the worlds thread on the boards/twitter unless you want to know who wins when they haven't even announced 2nd place on your stream.

I don't know if this is the right place to ask this but I've never bought the stream before so I'm wondering: do you have to watch in real time or are you able to watch like after teams have competed and stuff? I hope this makes sense lol. Basically I work all day Saturday so I'm wondering if I would be able to watch anything from Saturday after work or no?

They post videos after, usually within a few hours. Though all videos have no sound as usual. Last year they had a rewind feature for the live feed (with audio), where you could go back I think it was 2 hours, maybe 3. Not sure if they'll have that again this year though.

Thank you, this helps!!

Since I'm pretty sure that someone from FloCheer reads the boards: can we please get the live-audio from the venues and not just the cheer-mix directly? SOOOOOOO much of the live stream experience is gone when you only hear the cheer mix but not the people in the venues cheering on the teams.
During finals when teams hit and the audience goes crazy? Hearing that at home makes the subscription absolutely worth it, and I'd really love to have that again for worlds (unlike NCA where you only got the mix and couldn't hear the audience at all).

Usually its a mix of both (if the audio guys are pros), where they will feed the audio direct to the video while also feeding the ambient stage mics. A mixer board is involved so I am sure either they will do their best pending the in-venue audio quality. Fingers crossed

This. VPNs are useful, safe, and sometimes even free (or very affordable depending on your needs).

Also shout out floCheer for being so consistent.

Before FloCheer you basically had a 50/50 shot at being able to get on and actually WATCH teams because whatever company that was FROZE ALL THE TIME.

IF YOU COULD EVEN GET THE STREAM STARTED.

I remember paying for a stream and seeing ONE team of Large Coed because it never actually worked.

Which VPN do you use?
