When do they usually release the travel pack info? Yes I have last years, but want this years so parents can budget and plan. Am I overlooking it on the website or something?

i don't see it either. but from the last time i checked that page on uca's site, it has updated and had more info placed on it so I assume it is coming. since they still make it a brochure, it has to go through several review iterations for legal and disney stuff, before being finalized for marketing to publish, making it have a bit of a wait time

Prices have gone up an average of $30 per athlete for the last 3 years. I just budget for it ahead of time.

It’s not up yet...but The dance registration opened up today with a sample schedule... likely it will go up on the next week or two if not this week

Disney just released info about their new “date based” tickets that go live Oct 16. Aside from ticket prices that fluctuate based on how busy it is expected to be, there are changes to how long the tickets are good for (no longer a standard 14 days from first use for all ticket lengths).

I don’t know that these changes will affect UCA packages because they are usual convention type tickets, but for anyone who buys separately may want to be aware of the changes and consider buying their park tickets BEFORE Oct 16.

previously it was 3 months. and yea disney/varsity have helped promote an underground market of park passes with these previous systems for group ticket ordering. plus the event staff tickets too for varsity.

and disney hates unauthorized tickets, thats why the finger print scanners exist and now the magic bands. interesting to see how this affects us if at all.

Was Coronado an option last year? It's one of the hotels on my Disney bucket list, but I think my co director wants to stay at Caribbean Beach (which is lovely) but seeing Coronado peaked my interest.

Usually it is for overflow and staff. But if I recall correctly, Coronado just went through a re-model/addition phase so it couldve been expanded to fit larger groups better like the All Star/Caribbean do (even though the layouts are all very similar regardless).

It is the hotel closest to the all star resorts so it makes sense that UCA would wanna keep everything fairly central versus Caribbean and Pop Century which are further away (closer to WWOS though..)

Guess this could be the nationals thread for the year. Good luck to anyone competing at regionals this weekend and beyond!

We are leaving a day earlier and coming back a day earlier...
its rough. i'm not a fan. we arrive, we chill and settle, then compete for two days. that's the norm.

now we get to transition to a three day? so many negatives to this situation.

Yea... it is rough... I do understand the schedule was getting SO tight... I know one squad that was running around like chickens with their heads cut off last year to try to make it to game day, world School , JV and Varsity performances... and the traffic between divisions was insane
