I'm not 100% sure (although I probably should be), but I'm pretty confident that PT is similar in that you can have all cash practices. That's exactly what I'm thinking though, I don't see why gyms wouldn't want to be affiliated somehow with a PT (or any other medical professional) that is already familiar with cheer. I do have 2 years to think this through and to form connections though, so hopefully I (we!) can make it work somehow.
Uh the coaches are not trained properly enough to know how to prevent or handle injuries. It's the most injured of all sports (even NFL). But there seems to be no concern for it.

At this point, no. You can get on our waiting list by emailing [email protected]. I assume that you are joking, but we actually are turning people away. Yesterday, a great flyer with a 1 to double called to see if she could do a private tryout and we told her no. That is somehing I would have bet big money against ever happening and I am still a bit stunned that we would actually get to that point.
Because you have too many paying parents and you won't turn people away but the gym is too small and majority of coaching staff not equipped with proper coaching to avoid all the injuries that keep occurring. Not a good combo.

There is a phrase or motto that has special meaning for our athletes. They typically learn the words a couple of months into their season. By now, there have been thousands of people who have been told the exact wording. I'm sure that if someone tried hard enough, they could find someone who was willing to share that despite our wishes that it be kept private. I would hope that the majority of them, even athletes who have moved on to other programs would have respect enough for the CA family not to share.

That being said, even learning the wording of the phrase doesn't mean that you "get" it. Without actually being a part of the CA family, there really isn't a way to understand it's meaning completely.

Obviously, I am not going to share the exact meaning.

because it soooo doesn't matter
I've heard that due to the amount of new athletes that you are moving your gym to the new Cowboy Stadium. Any truth to that?

What teams do you have this season?
ha. that would make sense. Jerry Jones (evil money grubbing oedipus complexed man joining forces with the same)? perfect Shakespearian fall from grace. can't wait! bring the popcorn.

What do you think about all the vlogs? (Keeping up with the cheetahs, behind zur scenes with babs, wild life) I really enjoy watching those, but I always Think that my Coaches would hate it if I was vlogging during practice because you should keep the focus on practice.
blogs, vlogs, groupme, cheerlebrities is NOT a good thing. people forget that this stuff stays with them forever. most of the cheerlebrities look like they just came from the bada bing. I can assure you these people will never have reputable jobs posting what they do. It's a serious sport (MOST injured of any college/professional sport) and should be taken as such. If you want fun and bubbles have a kids gym. But I think and IQ and EQ test for a gym would be brilliant. Like an all star gym that actually had the same caliber of kids/parents. Then again coaches would have to be ivy league educated and trained in sports medicine for them to even be legit. But I love the idea of it.

oh god. is this how coaches and hr are found? no wonder....wow!

It appears you are new and every single post so far is bashing Cheer Athletics. I would say that if you have a concern about the way they are doing things and/or running their business, you should email them directly and not post on here. If your concerns are legitimate, any gym owner would want to know and be able to address them. Coming on a public forum to speak negatively says a lot more about you than it does them (especially one of the most respected programs in the country).

I was going to say the same thing. The adult thing to do is to talk to the right persons, not to bash a gym on a board...

I was told they have been addressed by several people and ALL were dismissed. If people actually saw what has been going on and witnessed the things that were going on they would be appalled. But how could anyone know what is going on when the gym is so overcrowded that one team tumbles into the next and people get hurt. Quantity (money $) over quality should never be a businesses first priority. And it's a big business with serious consequences (ie. injuries worse than those in the NFL).

This is very contradictory. You're saying they're too money hungry to turn people away on a post where an owner is quite literally saying they are turning people away because they do not have space to accommodate them??

Based on the particular posts you have chosen to quote continuously, I'd take a wild guess that someone may have tumbled into your kid and they got hurt. It's unfortunate, but things happen, even in the greatest and most organized gyms in the country. Even if that's not what you're disgruntled about, keep in mind that programs don't grow to be as large and respected as CA is with poor coaching, facilities, communication, training, and disorganization. Case in point, an owner opening a line of communication here. That doesn't happen in a lot of gyms.

Alas, not every program is a fit; that's why there are lots of options. Especially in Texas. Move on if they aren't for you.
