That's actually what I have been wondering with all your posts!

That doesn't even make any sense.
You are welcome to stereotype us cheer moms and our children. Just like we have the right to stereotype you. I agree with the others. You did not pick the proper place to address your problems with this gym. If you think that they are not a safe gym, why did you not report this to the USASF?
Blasting them on a cheer message board will do nothing for your case.
The people that are upset have reported.

Ma'am. You have to know that this type of rant posting doesn't come off as legit.

Parents with legit concerns talk to coaches/owners/etc. Particularly if they feel like their child's safety is at risk. I mean, from what you're saying, kids are colliding with each other like a demolition derby out there on the floor, right? Why haven't you actually CALLED them?

Parents who internet rant generally have sour grapes due to:

*Kid not on the team they want their child to be on.
*Kid not getting the attention that they perceive other kids to be getting
*Parent perceives there to be an "in crowd" that they are not a part of.

Uhhhh...is someone confused by the season? Last time I checked it was Christmas time, not summer.

My child doesn't cheer. She tumbles and that is all we care about. Cheering has a negative connotation-especially in the work world (post college etc). Those instagram photos of girls scantily clad stick with you forever. It's not a good thing.

As a working adult, I very much disagree. Because I still coach I've discussed my history cheering in several interviews and it has always been received favorably. Even my current boss told me a big part of her confidence in hiring me was based on the fact that I cheered - she believed that my participation in this sport would have trained me to be more outgoing, confident, and a better leader.

Edited to add: scantily clad photos on instagram are not exclusive to the cheer world. They're also most likely not the vast majority of the cheer world. I have many athletes at my gym that present themselves incredibly well on social media. That has to do with parenting and not what sport they're involved in.

when my kids switched gyms... There were some parents that were welcoming and some that weren't. Those parents were threatened by new people. I have a small groups of parent friends and that's all you need to survive. Be nice to all of them and the ones you cant be nice (because you don't want to) don't trust them! Your suspicions are spot on!
