All-Star Nontumbling Worlds Teams

Ok I have finally finished reading all of these post and I’m not quite sure about some of the comments. IMO there is a lot of confusion about this division. I think it is great. My granddaughter cheers for CEA so we will start there. The girls on lady lux have been cheering together for years. They are extremely talented and they definitely deserve a chance to go to worlds. The reason that you haven’t seen many videos is because CSP is not going to put them out there. She is one of the best coaches in the industry and she wouldn’t let them go to worlds if she didn’t think they have a very good chance of winning. Like someone said earlier, she knows the score sheet inside and out. The NT division is not taking anything away from the teams that do tumble. They have certain guidelines just like the other divisions. They have also added extra bids to accommodate this division. They earned their paid bid by competing against other NT teams. I don’t understand why it would upset anyone just because they don’t tumble. These girls have worked very hard for years and I think it is great that they are finally getting the recognition they deserve. It is very hard to be a flyer, but it’s also very hard to be a base and a back spot. Have you ever followed one base through a whole routine? They are all over the place. If they are one second late getting to the right spot which is sometimes on the opposite side of where they were to begin with then that flyer is screwed. Same with the back spot. Cheerleading is a team sport and just because they don’t tumble doesn’t mean that “a bunch of girls were just thrown together to make a team”.
Before anyone says that I’m saying I love the idea of NT teams because my granddaughter cheers for CEA, she is only 9 and can tumble for days. This is only her third year doing all star cheer and she already has her full. Just like lady lux, she spends hours at the gym and works her butt off. If for some reason things change (God forbid) and she can no longer tumble, I would be grateful that she would be able to continue doing what she loves doing and is so passionate about on a NT team.
