This is our gym’s first time to NCA. Only one of our coaches have been before and he hasn’t given us any info on what to expect or what we need to know other than time to meet up, competition time and this is going to be the biggest competition we’ve ever been to. Lol.

Our meetup time is 11 on Saturday but we are going to try to get there around 9 so we can find parking (thanks for that tip from someone on this board)

I need some other info for newbies from all you vets What did you wish you had known or things you’ve realized. Also foodwise are there food courts there or do we need to pack a lunch?

It's huge. We are in Atlanta and are Cheersport veterans. I think the venue set-up is larger than that. The arena, where the Worlds teams perform, is on one end. The other performance halls are further down. The arena is something worth seeing. Look at the schedule and see what teams you'd like to see and make a game plan.

Plan on lots of walking. Lots.

Day 2 performance order is based on standings. Last goes first, first goes last. That will be released shortly after your division is done.

There are eateries in there. I believe there were things in the halls. There was a concession type stand at the Arena. There was also some sort of eatery out in the main hallway area. The Omni is connected to the convention center. You can walk to it. There were food truck set-ups last year. That was a good option, I thought.

When they do the awards (at least in the lower levels), they have each team leave the stage as they are called. Then it comes down to the top 3 then top 2. Kind of a cool thing to see.

If you haven't ever been to something this large, it can be overwhelming. Stay calm and take it all in. Enjoy it. I am so excited!!!

Be prepared to wait for food- the lines can be quite long! Both for concessions and sit downs in the convention center and Omni. If you have time to walk a few blocks, there are some really good places with shorter waits.

Be sure to purchase any event specific shirts/pins/etc on your first day there. They almost ALWAYS run out of stuff.
