So I nearly cried watching Katelyn Ohashi's recent routine. (I'm assuming y'all have seen it...)

Seeing someone who was almost broken by the USA Gymnastics system come out and be so strong and powerful and joyful. I know she's been crushing it in NCAA for years, but now the general public is taking note.

And let's not forget how insane that routine actually is. A double layout with a split in the middle? Has anyone else actually done that since Gutsu in the 90s?
Yes, actually. Chusovitina in 2002:

She even connected her to a punch front, amazing!!

I know I shouldn’t get too attached to her, because Russia’s history with Juniors transitioning into Seniors ([emoji854]), but omg... VIKTORIA LISTUNOVA!!
FX EF

She would’ve won if she competed against the seniors too.

She has a competitive AA programme too, I just pray to the gym gods that they pace her progress.

Other notable Russian Juniors at Jesolo:
Elena Gerasimova

Vladislava Urazhova

Also in general I try not to get too attached to the Russians because they have a history of breaking my heart. Same with the Romanians right now.

Jade Carey won vault in Doha, so she's first in overall vault standings on the World Cup circuit now. A huge step towards her Tokyo qualifying! Paseka took silver.
For now... the fact that she’s not allowed to attend anymore could work against her because she can’t:
1.) Improve on her total points (someone could very easily overtake her because her first World Cup went awry)
2.) Block other athletes from achieving a higher point total than she did (i.e. place at the top as often as she can to prevent other athletes from earning those maximum points).

Laney Madsen was finally able to make her senior debut at an international elite competition today, a major one too - 2019 Artistic Gymnastics European Championships.

She has a tonne of work to do, but at least she got to compete. She didn’t make any finals this time, not even AA, but she seems determined as seen in her post-meet interviews.

Did you find any interview you could post? I have not found much

Did anyone see the facebook post from USA Gymnastics? I think they just filed for Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and it referenced Sexual Abuse claims that need to be filed..

I did. It seems USA Gymnastics filled under Chapter 11 to alleviate the burden of any lawsuits filled against them. It's fairly common to go to court with someone/company, win a massive settlement and then the someone/company files bankrupts to avoid paying it out. Unofficially, this appears to be along those lines.

Which, considering this is about the sexual abuse of minors, is garbage.
