Deductions were applied to the raw score percentage, not to the raw score itself ... (102.85 - 5 = 98.85 (73.2%), what they did 102.85/135 = 76.19% then - 5 = 71.19%)
I spent the last 5 minutes trying to figure out what they did, so thanks haha

Karma just won IO6. Thats 3 golds for flyers right? Or is it 4? And 6 total globes for the program at worlds this year? Why are they constantly slept on they're bringing home more than most US mega programs.

3 golds and I believe every single team they've taken has globed so far! Crazy impressive

Anyone want to explain this? Lol. This says 4th place has a higher score than 3rd.

  1. Cheer Extreme – Lady Lux – 114.25 – World Champion
  2. Flyers All Starz – Fearless (Canada) – 105.2
  3. All Star One – Lady Bang – 97.8
  4. ACE Athletics – Vicious (Canada) – 97.85

Is it this wacky every year but we just didn’t know to what extent before? Do the people on charge of all the cheerleading even know what they’re doing?

Short answer yes.

Once upon a time, the powers that be decided it was totally okay for athletes to:

*warm up.
*wait an hour from warm ups to performance time.
*finally perform at some point between 11 and 11:30 PM.
*perform outside.
*do so on a WET MAT.

*finally perform at ELEVEN PM.

*do so on a WET MAT IN THE RAIN.

Well in their defense, it isn't like you can predict rain. And it's so rare for it to rain in Florida.

/sarcasm

i just wanna know why top gun didnt receive a deduction for the athlete bust at the end of her tumbling pass. is that not a deduction anymore, sine she technically landed on her feet first then fell?

There legit has to be a better way. Maybe divide this sucker up into two weekends so everything goes a little quicker and is more manageable. We are so far from acting like a “real sport” right now with all these egregious oversights. Not fair to the athletes.

I was thinking this... but there’s always this grey area.

The fall wasn’t from the result of the pass? I don’t know anymore.

Because they are in many of those divisions that aren't profitable to most gyms in the US. So far the US teams got by with difficulty in the international/open divisions by putting together a team mid-season that had a lot of skills. I guess the US gyms have to start realizing that this doesn't fly anymore and that the non-US teams are catching up very quickly. Add to that that some of these divisions aren't seen as "prestigious" in the US as the senior (and some of the non-senior) divisions. And if you don't put in 100% of the effort, you don't get 100% of the results.
