Nah, you cant pick and chose when you break ties and when you don't. Either be consistent in breaking ties or consistent in awarding ties.

If I was Brandon or Midnight coaches, I would be raising absolute hell. Thats a hill I'd die on.

I really thought we could make it through one Worlds without some sort of major f*ck up from USASF. We were so close.

And what is so ridiculous is that USASF allowed ties in other divisions so over their own booty because they were to cowardly to win up to their scoring mistakes. But in this case, these teams tied fair and square and BSB gets the short end of the stick.

If they call it a tie, wouldn’t that mean SMOED globed?

I'm torn, I'm super happy for suns and I'm so excited for a globe to be coming back to colorado!! But I am calling tomfoolery on CJA being in bronze with that routine. They annihilate the scoresheet and I'm convinced the only reason they didn't win is because they had to go so early.

Exactly. Cheer Central Sun's score from Day 1 to Day 2 increased by almost as much as CJA's, which is difficult to understand since CJA did much better today than they did yesterday. So they suffered from competing first, which shouldn't really happen since it's supposed to be a clean slate today and the judges should be able to properly score 10 teams against each other regardless of order of appearance. Good for Suns for placing 1st Day 1, but if Day 1 isn't supposed to count, then it's not supposed to count.

I’m having a hard time deciding if I believe the cheer twitters, that have been overwhelmingly wrong this year, or the Gym Owner who is supposed to be banned from World’s/coaching this year, but still very clearly involved. Eek...
The one you quoted is direct from the USASF website. I was able to find that exact section online.

Not likely. It would be 2 firsts then third. That’s how typically, in the real world, these things are handled
Except in the instance of Bangkok. There were two 1sts and then a 2nd and 3rd that year. But most people tend to think of that as a fake globe, so doesn't really count. All of this just keeps reminding me of that year and I seriously don't think anything could ever be as bad as that was.

this is...way different then that. i definitely wouldn’t call this even.

edit- also if i recall correctly oo5 still had a minor mistake that day as well. & nfinitys basket score was lowered becuase of the jankey basket so it’s not like it didn’t count
And that “basket” went like a foot in the air. Max.

Their IAG got 10th as well. They’ve only had 1 finals appearance ever in the program.
They have an incredible special abilities team too. We happened to catch their unassisted team at ICU last week. They were great as the US National team and the athletes looked so happy with their gold medals.

The problem is the teams that benefitted from the tie are obviously not going to speak up, thats just common sense.
I dont have any issue with prodigy winning at all but if i was a brandon coach id be kinda irked, considering what they did earlier for a different division.
I can only speak for myself but if I was in Midnights position, Id be up there at the judges table demanding answers from USASF and demanding Brandon gets to tie first place with us. Its not about winning, its about consistency in enforcing rules from a GOVERNING BODY.

Midnight is Brandons best ally and advocate. I doubt USASF would take away their globe, but in no way would that make Midnight look bad, it would only make USASF look worse. The cheer world needs to stand together and support eachother in this stuff. Create a united front. Its not about winning. Midnight benefited from it this time. Next time they could be on the other end. Or they could fight to make sure theres not a next time. IMO, thats the epitome of "good sportsmanship". Be there to fight for others even if youre ahead.
