All-Star Well Now What Are We Are We Supposed To Talk About.

I think the routine itself would have been fine with a normal (as normal as TG can be) uniform. The themed uniform just took it a little over the top and I dont think it was in good taste.

But anyways. They did great at Worlds and I don’t have to see those uniforms (or OO5s) again!

Yeah O05 was a touch ridiculous. Would I have worn that uni as a Halloween costume when I was 21? Yes. To an actual cheer competition? That I wanted to win? Lol no. I mean they deserved their globe and everything, but that uni didn’t do them any favors.

I'm not surprised in the least that steel won this year.

I actually really have come to love the non tumbling division. I dont see the uproar in it as much as I use to.

Anons are still out of control, to the point where i couldnt help myself and call one out about the whole generals juul thing. And now they are upset because an actual general called them out on their b.s. and now they all acting like babies....

I love top gun but i feel like they focused to much on the theme and possibly not enough on the actual routine. Like ive said a clean stingrays is a deadly stingrays.
For once i felt like worlds finally ran on time, but then when one thing finally succeeds another thing has to fail (scoring)

The juul thing was actually a mascara tube, right?

I’m really happy that I don’t have to see tweets calling Top Gun racist and accused of cultural appropriation anymore. Plus both of TGLC uniforms are retired from the gym now.
As a parent, I can say I’m happy that we don’t do a Worlds only uni. If they debute one, it’ll be used the following season(s). I can’t imagine paying that much for 1 showing.

They were free which is why the kids got to keep them.

Curiousity:

*Which program had highest medal count this weekend?

*Does anyone have more rings than Ambrel and Santwon now? Lol.

Thoughts all in one big post:

*All Star One Lady Bang was a 4.2 team most of the season!

*Ice SnowED was like, 5th in Large Coed. It always blows my mind that they do not have tryouts until Feb and don't even start competing until March.

*Smallfin Sharks has potential.

*More teams with potential: Pittsburgh Pride MANE.

*I've had Steel and Beatles to win since start of season. Would have been very surprised if they did not.

*Incredibly happy for Midnight (despite tie issue. USASF has to do better.)

*This weekend in Large Senior embodies the "any given Sunday" mantra. It's anybody's day and you can't count anyone out.

*Large Senior also solidifies my point re: Execution > Everything.

*If you did not shed a team over Pope family videos (especially the sibling reaction videos) you are not a real person. My sibling would have probably just been like "Good job nerdface." because they're rude. lol.

*I predict a lot of growth in the NT divisions, but I can tell you that everyone who thinks NT is an "easier globe" is not correct. The Canadian teams are NOT making it easy.

*It is crazy how deep the talent is in XS.

*WHO WANTS TO TELL USASF THAT TRAP MUSIC SAFETY JINGLES DO NOT ACTUALLY PROTECT ATHLETES FROM ABUSE?

and finally -

*IF YOU ARE SOMEONE WHO GETS FLO CHEER FOR NCA AND JUST KEEPS IT THROUGH WORLDS OR SUMMIT THIS IS YOUR REMINDER TO CANCEL BEFORE THEY CHARGE YOU AGAIN. YOU'RE WELCOME.

One of my favorite moments from this weekend was day 1 our jump score was lower than our competitors by 2 points, maybe technique side, IDK. Kids had to work their jumps Sunday afternoon. Monday while taking pics with the medals and banner one of the kids yelled over, Hey, Coach, I pulled a hamstring for you, our jump score went up, right?!? :D

Can we petition against the rule that bans high school cheerleaders in Illinois from doing All-star? Even if they just practice together once a week until February, I can see them doing so well... their scoring potential is up there.

They can do it, but they can't during the HS season which means that they either have to choose one or the other (and in many cases they do choose school I think) OR do quarter season (which means they start incredibly late.) Frustrating. I agree.

I think schools and gyms benefit when they work together.

After watching F5's Day 2 performance and Shooting Stars' Day 1 performance, tumbling RIGHT at the end of a routine is a no for me. I want to be able to celebrate during your dance, not stress about a potential AF.

Also, I don't think I've seen so many teams get taken out because of their pyramid section before... it's usually a more secure portion of the routine compared to the elite stunts and tumbling.
