I'm actually so surprised with this considering there were 2 more teams to go after Midnight.

Aren't the judges suppose to leave a gap at the top just in case the teams that come after actually do better? In this case they didn't, but what if they did and they clearly can't go beyond the 10.0 scale? They need to figure this comparative scoring out...

That bothers me. CP’s team at Summit is 6th to go out of 40 teams. If this is the case, we’re screwed.

Summit still uses Varsity Scoresheet which is not comparative scoring. While I still think there are judging discrepancies between earlier v. later teams, it is less pronounced because it has “set” difficulty values.

RANDOM QUESTION:

Remember the girl who was not released by Team A to compete with Team B?

If you are not released by Team A and Team B gets gold, are you a WORLD CHAMP?!

Is she also a SILVER MEDALIST with Team A since Team A went silver?

Are you both? Best day ever?

I think I saw her post a goodbye video on twitter in an Odyssey uniform, so I guess this was her last year?
I feel old.
I’m so out of the loop! I just assumed she was on stars but knew it had to be about that time to age out. Makes me feel old too!

RANDOM QUESTION:

Remember the girl who was not released by her two teams WE and PA Midnight?

Midnight got a gold. WE Gens got a silver.

If you are not released by a team and your new gym gets gold, are you a WORLD CHAMP?!

Is she also a SILVER MEDALIST with WE?

Are you both? Best day ever?

She’s neither. She quit Generals and WE didn’t release her to compete with Midnight.

She was given a medal by Team B and their coaches even though she didn't get to compete with them (which they did not have to do, so props to them for including her). So I'd say that counts, but that is just my two cents.

Isnt It the same scenario for alternates or injured athletes at worlds. As long as they are on the roster they still get a worlds ring.

Can you be on the roster if you haven't been released from another team? I think it is awesome they included her, just wondering!

I mean, she was rostered up until worlds (because that's the only comp she couldn't compete at) - but can't be on the worlds roster so I wonder how that was handled... I'd assume they only give enough for worlds rostered athletes and alternates

*Medals is what i'm referring to
