Does anyone know if Rays is going to have any international teams other than Rust later in the year? I think those changes were smart and they will do well! Kinda sucks Lavender wasn't in addition to cobalt. Kinda sad to see them go but you have to do whats best with those that show up to tryouts.

Are they medium this season?

Also may have been asked in another thread but what is the reason behind the level changes?
Mostly because it doesn't really make sense to those outside of cheer to have a level that isn't it's own number. When everything else is standardized to a specific number, having something called restricted 5 is confusing. While it will take a while to get used to it, it makes perfect sense to me.

So are the IASF Worlds 5 skills the same as the USASF Summit 5 skills?

That I have no idea on. Being outside of the US, I don't have access to the USASF rules, only IASF. I assume they'll be the same, but will be judged on different score sheets as other divisions were this year, but that's just a guess on my part and not verified fact

I was super excited that there were more level 6 (I guess now level 7) teams into the ring, but then I remembered that level 6 is the old level 5.

It literally takes me so long to process team announcements because of the level changes.

I wouldn’t be surprised if Rust goes USASF too, I think Senior Open All-Girl/Coed 7 is a thing this season? Someone correct me if I’m wrong.

I would too if I’ve had to experience the frustration of scoring higher than my competitors but not being able to make finals.

Stingrays Marietta had some division changes recently
Apple (Formerly Open All Girl 5 → Small Senior All Girl 6)
Electric (Formerly Global Coed 5 → Small Senior Open Coed 6)
Lavender (New Open All Girl 6)

This new numbering combined with IO v. Senior Open is confusing me so much that I stared at this for a solid 5 minutes trying to figure out why Rays would put 2 teams out of the same location against each other in same division (the number threw me and I read Small All Girl 6 and OAG6 as same thing in my head.) This is probably going to happen a million more times. lol.

Small All Girl 6 = what is now SS5 which places them back in same division as SSX, Gens, LL, LB. Interesting!

Yes. That's why Senior Open and Senior Open Coed experienced so much growth off the bat I think. Honestly, this year watching Worlds I had a hard time remembering out who was STILL LEFT IN IOC/IO. Example: Forgetting that Wild/Infinity do not directly compete against each other anymore.

I'm about 99% sure there is not an Open Level 7. Level 7 is not on the USASF age grid, only IASF.

Oh okay, so the additional level 7 divisions are all under IASF, right?

It’s global all-girl/coed 7 and non-tumbling all-girl coed 7? Are those right? I can’t keep up anymore...
