They had a LAG5 there for a little while and several D1 Summit teams but I think had mostly been competing D2 lately?

They were down to, like, 3 teams last season. A lot of people moved to WE & PA prior to last season since it’s located in between them. The ones that moved to my CP’s gym claimed issues with coaching & management style, but that’s just from their POV and I don’t know anything first hand.

There's a new gym in Northern California, I found it on Robert Scianna's Instagram page (he's their choreographer). Petaluma area I think, the story is gone so I don't know the name.

I haven’t seen anything officially but someone said Brandon Orlando closes.
I saw a screenshot of an email they sent out to parents but I can’t find it. IIRC it had something to do with not renewing the franchise agreement/lease or so. They also moved their north Tampa gym more north east to Wesley Chapel (now if only I could get my little cousin that lives 2.4 miles away interested in cheer).

I am really really out of the cheer loop but there have been numerous Facebook posts of people that are friends of my friends that have said the gym has closed. I do know one of the coaches is now coaching at Top Gun Orlando - and I believe a few of the athletes have gone there also. If I had to guess the reason for the closing is due to low numbers but that is only a guess. My daughter was part of that gym for a few years when they were Cheer Corp- then they became Brandon Orlando. I wish them well in their next endeavor.

Oh no! That's so sad. Vizion had some of the BEST technique out there I've seen in such a long time.

Are there many programs in Michigan?

Yes there are a bunch I’m not sure of the distancing though from their location. I haven’t seen an official announcement from them but there had been rumors and I saw a confirmation from a parent online saying they just didn’t get the numbers at tryouts to keep the doors open. So sad they were my favorite MI program! I used to always be at competitions with them and I loved watching them!

So sad about all these gyms closing. A big part of the problem is kids leaving left and right to go their "dream" gym - even though that dream gym is across the country and the majority of these kids are still in high school. I'm sorry but there is nothing anyone can tell me to say this is ok. It's one thing to leave after you graduate but to do it in high school is redic.

Is this really happening enough to cause a gym to close, though?

I'd think the bulk of the money gyms make is not even from Worlds kiddos but littles and lower levels?

One or 2 kids leaving to be (example) on TGLC is not making that big of a difference in revenue.

According to Cheerupdates the former owner of Vizion is going to Cheer Savannah

Rockstar just announced a new gym in Las Vegas. Things seem to be getting out of hand. How many have they added in the past two months?
