Yeah I understand the new changes, I just want to see where UCA places them in terms of difficulty. I'm going to assume single-braced flips and inversions to extensions will be right up there.

Anyone care to let her know that I heard today that the grid may be going away?

ETA: five minutes later, I see they’ve posted the new on online

Ok what’s a “ground inversion”? Like a BHS up?

Why aren’t the difficulty levels actually labeled? And what’s this new fifth one in the stunt sheet? Last year it was just intermediate, advanced, elite, and super elite. Now there’s an additional level.

HIGH TO HIGH DOUBLE AROUND ISH JUST GOT REAL.

I was told They’re doing away with the “progression” grid as an official part of the scoring. Too many train wrecks at nationals last year. So it’s there as a way to advise coaches on how to build up to skills and give judges an idea of where skills should fall, but not in “counting” skills to separate teams as they did in the past.

“When scoring difficulty judges will take into account the following: minimum movement of bases, limited number and type of connections between bases and top, top person’s beginning and ending position, and completion of the skill.”

I’m going to need this broken down because it can’t mean what I think it means.

I did feel like Nationals was a bit of a nightmare last year. Not since 2016 have I seen such a weird “Did we all fly into an alternate dimension on the way here?” kind of event.
