Hi everyone! I am curious to see if anyone has any videos of their favourite teams that have 10 athletes or under? My mini team is rather small this year and I'm looking for some tips/advice on how to make their routine look best with such a small number of athletes. Thanks in advance :)

ETA: I have 8 this season.

Your synch and use of floor has to be off the chain. With the all star rubric being what it is, you shouldn’t have any trouble competing with teams with more athletes (given you’ve placed them in the correct division/level); but with only 8 on the mat, every little detail will be noticeable.

I only had 10 last season and we just about went undefeated (got third our last comp). The difference between 10 and 8 feels huge though  I'll for sure hit the high box in every range, I'm more so looking for ways to keep it looking visually appealing and not boring

There is a gym near us that had 7 on their S4 team and they killed it at every comp, generally winning and frequently getting a judges award or something extra. Their pyramid was a little sad, but nothing to be done about that, but their tumbling and jumps and stunting was always perfection so it made up for it. They were so fun to watch!

We have 9 right now on S2, and choreography is kind of fun. You really have to play to each kid’s strengths a lot more and not go with the average. CP came from a team of 30, and it was possible to hide people. This season, you can’t do that. She’s enjoying it a lot more.

Check out Tiny Talons Cheer Force Arkansas 2018-2019 team. They had 8 last year as a level 1 and won NCA (in part due to their routine composition... they won most innovative choreography for tiny level 1). And everyone is correct, it is SUPER hard to hide anyone on a small squad... but you can definitely compete. Just make sure you use everyone and really use the floor well.
