Yes. Quite disappointing. My daughter asked to move to CA-STL. I considered it. But honestly, they are coming into our town all cocky and over-confident with their social media throwing shade. Not the kind of company I want to give my money too. We will pass.

Bold to say with little to no explanation

I can certainly understand not being a fan of us and not being excited for a new gym in the area. However, if you will direct me to any of our social media that has the tone you are describing, I will take care of that. Looking through the posts, I can't see what would give off that vibe, but maybe I'm not looking at the right thing?

I am from St Louis and have seen nothing that says Cheer Athletics is being cocky or over confident. I do have to say though that it will be very interesting to see the St. Louis cheer world come tryout time.

I find that existing programs (existing program parents too) get super threatened when New Gym comes to town, not realizing that it is probably not going to mean the END of their gym.

I feel like there is some fluctuation that first season the New Gym has tryouts. Because people will initially run to try out at this new place.

Then it evens out as people decide New Gym is not for them, go elsewhere, stay at New Gym, etc.

In the end, everyone survives for the most part and life goes on for New Gym and existing small ones.

My daughter was recently part of CA Plano. It didn't work out, but beyond impressed with the CA Program and all of their staff. If you want to see true colors watch how people treat you when you leave. I can tell you CA Coaches and staff are amazing. My daughter says if we win the lotto we are moving to Plano ASAP for CA.
Agreed. Coming from CA Charlotte, I watched coaches continue to show love to athletes who left, welcomed athletes back with open arms, just completely professional about it. Yes I know coaches might be personally hurt if an athlete leaves but they encourage them anyway and applaud their successes regardless of where they cheer, and definitely dont harrass them on social media either. They don't get all over social media and throw shade at those athletes. Just an all around class act at Cheer Athletics. And even further demonstrated by @BlueCat stating they will be taking care of anything negative that might be out there somewhere.

Cheer Athletics just announced a St. Louis location.

Not sure if it is a merger or purchase of an existing program or not.

Pretty sure they have 7-8 locations now?

ICE also has a St. Louis location now (formerly Cheer Legendz, I believe).

I heard the CA and ICE gyms are going to be 3 minutes apart but not sure how valid that rumor is.

That is the current saying on the ground here, but I would wait until they both open to actually see. While I can not adequately speak for the other gyms in the area, we have been "mentally and physically" preparing for the arrival of some mega gym or big brand name gym in this area for the past 4 to 5 years. We knew it was inevitable, we just did not know who. While every program will lose athletes to them, so will a lot of school teams as a lot of the school cheerleaders go to school cheer because they are frustrated with their all-star cheer placement. This will definitely shake the area up.

Right now from their website, ICE and CA are .9 miles from each other.

Steele Athletics out of Colorado just announced a new location for the 2020-2021 season in Las Cruces, New Mexico!

This will be their 4th location with their others being in Denver, Loveland, and Colorado Springs! This is their first out of state location!

Cheerforce just bought out Desert Storm in Scottsdale, AZ. The gym had a pretty mass exodus at the end of last season and went D2 for the first time in a long time, so I have a feeling that's why Eric sold it. So now Cali/TG/Cheerforce will all exist within like thirty miles of one another.

Oh wow what happened where did everyone go?

They are still competing D1 this year but they only have 5 small all star teams. They might have a few prep teams. Most of the athletes went to Cali with some going to Top Gun and Elements.

Questions:

I probably know the least about Rockstar.

How many locations are there?

Which ones do most of their Worlds teams or Summit winners come from?

Ex: I am familiar with Chili Peppers, Beatles, Stones, ACDC but I have no idea which locations they're from.

(In a sense that I know (example) Cheetahs = Plano v. Royalcats = Charlotte.)
