I noticed that many cheerleaders from Kentucky and UCF came from coed high school squads such as Graves County and Bartow.

Our friend who made mat for Blue squad the last two years for UK came from WE Generals and an all girl HS Cheer team in Texas. Tiny and talented seem to be the main factors for UK Blue Squad flyers.

I can't really call it. Just by looking a social media, the kids seem to all have a variety of experiences from HS only to all girl all star, etc.

I think the big factor is size + how hard you're willing to work on your own time (privates, open gym, etc.) more so than what gym/team/school/program type you came from.

Ex: If you only did HS all girl, it's going to take a lot of reps to get proficient in coed the way you need to be for a big college tryout.
