Messiah was fantastic. There are parts where you may need the subtitles but that wasn't the majority. Am now watching Mr. Robot which I have been told several times to watch and it is amazing.
i tried getting into messiah, but the first episode i found super boring. never made it past the 1st one.

I was hooked from the start. I can understand that though about the first ep, there are a ton of subtitles but I think that one has the most compared to the rest of the series. I am currently binging Mr. Robot which I never watched when it was on. I have heard good things about The Stranger.

I loved Spinning Out. Cheer was fine, I'm still not sure why everyone is so excited by it. The Aaron Hernandez documentary was very well done and closely mirrored the podcast Gladiator which came out last year or 2018, but added a little more depth plus faces to the names. What else is on your list? I need a new show.
I'm finally watching Cheer (at least, the first episode).

My roommate asked me 'HOW DO YOU KNOW ALL THESE THINGS?!' The time has come, and I have confessed lol.

I really want to see the Aaron Hernandez doc- going to school in his hometown, knowing people in common although we never directly met, and my cousins played football against him over the years. I'm curious as to what it'll be like..

I know its a hard watch, did anyone watch the gabriel fernandez case doc that came out on netflix yet. I binge watched it till 2am last night, i knew a good amount before hand, but man there was some stuff i never knew till i watched. heartbreaking.

I love when you randomly pop in here! Hope all is well! I haven't seen the Hernandez doc yet and would like to given I bought his jersey approximately 2 weeks before he got arrested.

I don't know if I can take it. I have heard it is heartbreaking over and over and over.

Anybody live in the Chicago area and have advice on finding apartments/neighborhoods? I’m moving there this summer!

on an unrelated note, I started watching Cheer and the Butlers give me odd vibes lol. When Gabi’s sister was telling her to post pics with the captions it made me feel like her family only looks at her as a money making opportunity. Obviously I dont know the full story, but from what I’ve seen on the show... odd vibes lol.

Oh we have a WHOLE thread dedicated to it under college cheer. Lots of people agree with you lol.

They still haven't discontinued my Varsity account even though I cancelled. With any luck this'll continue all the way to Worlds.

Sorry I don't mean to keep bringing it up but this is maybe the biggest crime caper I've ever pulled off. And I'm not sorry I'M NOT SORRY.

I’m seeing tweets that many European countries have either cancelled or postponed their national cheerleading competitions because of the outbreak.

I wonder if that means we’ll be seeing far fewer national teams at ICU Worlds this year.

There’s been speculation about them cancelling Worlds, but frankly I don’t think it’s necessary.

That’s not to say Worlds WON’T be cancelled, but I don’t think it should be.

Personally, I think this has been a touch overblown. The people dying from COVID are people who would’ve had trouble fighting off the flu anyway: older folks, and/or those with compromised immune systems. Healthy, young athletes are not the susceptible demographic. I understand the desire to prevent kids from getting sick, but I don’t think cancelling Worlds is the answer. Ultimately we’re dealing with a very manageable, treatable virus. Plus cases are already subsiding in Korea and China. I think by Worlds this’ll be far behind us.

The idea that Var$ity would cancel one of their biggest cash cows is laughable.

They may be concerned, but they're not THAT concerned.

They'll set up mobile ICUs with ventilators and o2 allowed on the mat before they cancel Worlds, Summit, UCA, etc.
