Universal closing...
..
Oh.. except citywalk employees... They still gotta come to work for two and half weeks and do nothing. (That would be me)

While it is not cancelled, I did read that some gyms made last minute decision to not go.

Ex: Rays Marietta and World Cup (main location) are not attending.

WSA finally decided to postpone the competitions this weekend. [emoji119] Schools are on spring break starting tomorrow, I'm sure if things have gotten worse like some expect next week they'll cancel school.

Broadway shows all closed until April 12th in NYC. I work just off theater district in a restaurant that's MASSIVE for pre/post theater. We're all a bit panicked.

Between that and a ban on foreign nationals from the EU (which was a stupid move, as though American citizens can't bring it back either?!), I'm not sure what my restaurant is gonna do if the city escalates further (we're already in a State of Emergency). I went out for dessert tonight and the place I was in was pretty full so no idea yet, but I won't lie and say I'm not a bit nervous. Blessed to have savings!

I also just read that UofL is not competing at NCA

It's so crazy

I think a lot of people are in the same situation. My husband works for s larger hotel chain.....not good st all!

I am glad they made changes. The whole UCA thing seems like a nightmare logistically. But I guess there is not much you can do when you wait until the last possible second to make changes- lol. But glad comps are canceled for the next 2 weeks! and honestly we are in beginning stages; this thing will
get worse before better. I wouldn’t be surprised if this season is a washout.

In defense of Varsity and gym owners, the majority of big decisions happened on Weds of this week. UCA has teams from Germany, Russia, Sweden, Croatia, Mexico, Canada and Denmark there, it isn't your average US event. They already had families in hotels and coaches picking up credentials when the other companies were just beginning to cancel. It wasn't a case of waiting until the last possible second, UCA was already under way.
