A joint statement was just released by “All Star Gym Owners of the West Coast”. It was signed by Cheerforce, California Allstars, Pacific Coast Magic, and 22 other west coast gyms. The statement says that they have come to a unified decision to end the 2019/20 season for their programs and calling for planning to begin for the 2020/21 season which “will look different than any other before”.

I was wondering when this would happen. It's like real life Stick It... but not in the good way.

i dont keep up with twitter anon drama. But why so critical of CEA when top gun miami, who sits in a coronavirus hot spot of florida has yet to pull out.. or did i miss that announcement.
I think it's the tone and posts they've been making. There are still plenty of gyms that haven't made an announcement, but they aren't tweeting all the time about how they will not back out.

Is there a WORLDS CONTENDERS WHO HAVE NOT BACKED OUT list going?

So far we know that the following have not made an announcement yet -

ICE (Aurora at least?)
Stingrays (Johns Creek + Marietta - not sure on any others)
CEA (Kernersville & Raleigh - you say CSP plans to stay in but not sure if that goes for all locations?)
World Cup (haven't heard either way from any location)
Gymtyme (haven't heard either way from any location)
Top Gun (haven't heard either way from any location)
Brandon (haven't heard either way)
Cheer Central Suns (haven't heard either way from any location)
Rockstar (not sure if any location has indicated either way?)

Also does anyone know the status of CANADIAN PROGRAMS like Cheersport Sharks, Flyers, etc?

If y0u had to hold LAG6 out of that list, you'd still have 3 of the usual top 5.

For me, I would not want to compete at a World Championship where even one of my top contenders was not in attendance. That would be an enormous asterisk on any title that is won. Not worth competing at all for me.

True.

It is WORLDS.

An event with 2 or 3 of your top competitors missing makes it more equivalent to winning Cheersport.

I'm only speaking on hearsay, but what I've heard is that many Canadian programs are now ending their seasons, or at least are not planning on Worlds/Summit, regardless of when it is held for the 2020 season. There are a few programs still holding out that they will go, I know I've seen post from Flyers Karma, but nothing official has been stated. I believe Cheer Canada is working with the provincial associations, and all-star gyms to put some decision together, but again, I've only heard that and haven't heard anything official.

ETA - ACE Athletics will not be attending any end of season events - Canadian Nationals and Worlds

Stay safe and thank you for being a superhero. I’m in NY - it’s bad here and the numbers in our county keep going up.

Thank you! I’m in colorado which is one of the hotspots but obviously not like NY is. I keep hoping I’ll come in to work and things will have slowed down but my 36 bed icu has been stretched to over 50 beds and the hospital is trying to renovate another floor into ICU beds.

Our gym officially ended the season. I think it is the right decision. We are located in a hotspot- with an expected peak in est 2- 3 weeks. This will be our 4th week out of the gym and no idea when we can go back. Our girls are doing zoom 5 days a week and additional team conditioning as well. They are now going to focus on how to prepare for tryouts- and what that even looks like this year. We all made our April payments and if there are any comp refunds we will push them towards our next season bills. Same with any fundraising balances. I am sad that the Comp season is over but relieved that I don’t have to Make the decision to pull my daughter. Looking forward to 2020/2021.

This is season has been Senior Elite's year, I don't blame them for wanting to continue. She is following all the rules and is simply awaiting the final decision from USASF/ Varsity. I don't see her doing anything cray.

For what it's worth, I haven't seen WCSS or Orange (Rays) make a statement on participating or backing out either.

Assuming they are also virtual practicing?

How does one virtual practice? Just drills/stretching? That's all I can think of.
