Just something a little light and different:
longtime cheerleaders have worn a lot of different colors. What are some you didn’t get to wear, but always wanted to? Or had to wear, and hated?

I’ve worn:
1. Maroon and grey in pee-wee
2. Navy, green, and white in jr high
3. Red/gold and green/silver in hs
4. Red/blue/yellow for UCA all-star
5. Blue/gold in college
6. Red/gold in another college
7. Red/gold for pro
8. Teal/black for pro

So no orange, purple, or brown for me. But I always really wanted to wear purple and gold.

I hated my maroon and grey pee-wee uni. HATED it. The UCA all-star uni was also hideous.

I cheered for two teams my entire life. Wore red and black for 5 years and then blue and white for 4. Red is NOT my color, so I hated that one. I've always thought it would have been nice to wear a deep green.

- Green, black and white in high school
- Brown and gold in university
- green pink and white
- blue black and white
- pink black and silver
- black and silver
- white, blue and gold

The current colours are my favourite by far

Burgundy and gold in middle school
Blue and gold in high school
Red black and gold at HotCheer
Blue and black at Cheer Athletics

Blue is my favorite, not a fan of red

CP went from red and black, to purple, silver and black, to blue and black. She was hoping to wear Red, Blue and Silver this year as the junior college mascot, but all fall Sports have been cancelled, and Winter/Spring can't even start practices due to the 10 person limit.

I have told her that she is not allowed to go to college anywhere that's Orange. It just doesn't look good on me :).

I grew up near James Madison (both parents are on faculty). Purple and gold either looks awesome or hideous. It depends on whether gold is metallic or more of a dark yellow.

Wore :
. Red,black & white (basketball cheer)
. Orange black & white (Rec)
.red &black (All Star)
. Red, navy & white (All Star)
. Red, blue &white (All Star)

A better question might be the worst color combos you’ve seen. Overall most of my school colors have been pretty tolerable. But there are some out there that make my head spin.

Some super good HS cheer team I think is navy blue, hunter green, and gold. Just the worst colors if you’re looking for big showy contrasting elements on stage.

Red and grey is also suspect.

Brown and gold were my college colors. Yuck.

I wore green and white in high school.

Coached orange/black, blue/white, green/white, and now my daughter wears green/white.

And green just happens to be my favorite color.

For me:
Blue and white - pee wee football
Black and gold middle school
Blue and white high schools

Cp:
Black and pink- basket ball (2bd grade)
Blue And white- rec football and rec comp
Black and teal - all star
Black white royal - all star

My least favorite color to wear -

When I had to wear Red/White/Black with WHITE as the dominant color.

Some coach or spirit director somewhere at this moment is thinking that they want a WHITE uni for 20-21.

Back away from that catalog. Don't.

If you love the white color part of your color scheme, do a white bow y'all. Not the uni. Pls.

From an observational standpoint, I like:

*The look of a bright teal with a navy (think Jacksonville Jaguars.)

*Dark navy and Vegas gold. (Think Rams)

Not the biggest fan of:

*Reds and greens together. (A team doesn't come to mind but think Xmas.)

*Browns and golds. (I have seen a HS team be brown and gold and it is just hard to get visuals like signs and poms to pop.)

*Red/Blue/Yellow together. Something about those 3 together is not aesthetically pleasing.

My favorite color schemes
-purple and black
-blue and white
-dark blue and gold
-light blue and white
-I'm biased but the red, white, and blue scheme is easy to make work.

Least
-brown and gold (I did see one team make a yellow uniform with white lettering and brown just for the lining of said white. It worked) but I saw some brown uniforms in my day and it was hard to make them look good.
-I also don't like the Tennessee orange. It always feels so washed out to me.
