Yea, I've never really got the minimizing crossing state borders thing. Probably partly because I live 3 miles from a state border and live in one state and work in the other (don't recommend, taxes are a pain haha). So I'm crossing the border back and forth every day. People in the same state are likely just as likely to spread it than people from other states, especially now with it being so widespread everywhere.

Does Varsity update all these schedule changes somewhere? It is difficult to see keep track of what is canceled / postponed / switched to virtual...

Yeah, I cheer in NC live in SC, and the governor in NC is pretty strict, and making it nearly impossible to run things. South Carolina is definitely the place to be! HAHA
Yeah but SC COVID numbers compared to NC... less restrictions are fun but not at the cost of lives. Also NC has many more urban areas which are denser an require more restrictions to keep people safe

WSF in Phoenix on January 16-17 just got cancelled, the city shut down all youth sports for the remainder of December and all of January. Not sure if Varsity fully cancelled or is just making it virtual, but either way there won't be any in person competitions in Phoenix until February at the earliest.

Battle Under the Big Top is at GA International Convention Center (about 1/3 the size of the GWCC) this weekend, and they are allowing 1 ticket per athlete and it has different sessions. Each session requires a different wristband. If you have more than one athlete, you receive a wristband for the sessions your athletes perform. Siblings are allowed, but I'm not exactly sure how that works, so I'll leave that to anyone that has more info. Again, it looks much smaller event than in years past with mainly GA teams, however, there are a good number of level 6 teams including TGLC, SMOEX, SSX, Lady Lace, Stingray Marietta teams, and others.

Can u please tell me where you found things that said SC has more covid cases than NC? because every news article and chart I have seen shows NC with more cases and more covid deaths than SC

NC has twice as many people as SC, of course they will have more cases. That's not the number you need to look at though.
This. I frequent both states and COVID is much, much worse in SC based on population.

NC's average percent of positive tests the past two weeks: 8.6%
SC's average percent of positive tests the two two weeks: 16%

No offense to either state, I basically live in them both. But SC is returning nearly double the amount of positive tests as NC.

With cases surging in GA, I question the wisdom of this. But this is GA, and nothing really surprises me about this anymore
