Question about registering for Varsity competitions, if the deadline is say 2/1 is that firm or do they take late registration after that? How many days before a competition is registration closed generally? Thanks!

I likely depends on the event and how full they are.

Ok!! hope someone has an answer. I tried to ask my coach at training the other week but one of the girls shut the idea down immediately. I've never seen it done which could mean that we can't but reading online nothing says that it can't be. Since all the components are legal.

My idea is a half twist (as in the same as a half up which is allowed) from prep level, ruby slipper grip, to a prep single leg.
Similar to a full or double around from prep
I think it'd look supper cool!! if it can't be done! can someone pretty please explain whhhhhhhy?! =D

Anyone know how/where to watch the Smoed Cheerleaders web series? I've found them on Youtube, but had of the seasons I'm trying to watch are listed as private videos and I can only access parts of seasons. I finished season 1, and I'm halfway through 3. Couldn't find 2 at all

Is Season 2 the one where Robert Scianna makes an appearance? If so, then you have your answer as to why the season is now marked as unlisted.

More philosophical than newb, but will cheer ever be an olympic asport? Has it ever been a demonstration sport in the olys?

Flyers and Team USA (KU I think) went to the Olympics in Japan a few years ago. I believe they performed during the closing ceremony.

I have a random cheerleading question... are you allowed to keep switching divisions? I've noticed more than one team switching between Senior Open and International Open continuously throughout the season. It must be allowed since they're doing it, I just wonder why it's actually allowed. Really, with no international teams coming to Worlds this season, the divisions should be combined, especially at smaller regular season events. But it's just weird to see teams switching in and out of a division when they feel like it.

And then there are the U17 and U19 divisions that teams will randomly enter... I don't get the point of these divisions lol.

Yes, you can switch divisions as you like, no rule against it. I don't really see a problem at all switching within the same level. Dropping down a level after doing at least fairly well is a little more sketchy. But if you are constantly coming in last place, I don't see a problem with dropping down. NCA had a rule that you had to have competed in your division before competing in that division at NCA, but I don't think that applied this year.

U17 and U19 are the IASF equivalents of junior and senior. So they are international divisions. I wish USASF would switch to numeric age groups like every other sport uses too.

Correct me if I'm wrong but I THINK you can switch at any point.

The only thing that matters is if you get a BID to Worlds or Summit in a division, that HAS to be your Worlds or Summit competition division.

Ex: FakeGymCats can compete all season as IOC6 snd IOCNT6 off and on depending on the weekend. But if they get an IOCNT6 bid, they have to compete at Worlds as IOCNT6.

What if you get a bid in both divisions? Can you?
