Do they not have Grape this year (Tiny 1 lol). I've just always thought the name Grape was so cute for a baby team, but Berry is a nice name too.

How many other gyms have this many teams in one location? Incredible list and they must have an absolutely gigantic facility to accommodate all these teams. Honestly wish the Global divisions weren't a thing and that they were in other divisions (I'm also not feeling this U17 stuff) but still, amazing.

I'm trying to remember which teams their John's Creek location has; it's so hard to keep track of which team is from which location, unless the team is named Beach or something and then I know they're from Florida lol.

I think Berry is the new Grape?

I feel like CA- Plano, the main Cali location, WC in NJ, Woodlands Elite, and CEA-Raleigh have similar numbers of teams, but they have similar large sized facilities with more than one floor.

I don't think any of the Cali locations, WC, or WE are quite that type of size. Not only does Stingrays have that many teams, but nearly all of them are Medium/Large. It's pretty insane. I'm thinking only CA Plano might have as many teams, or more.

And yes, plenty of gyms have more than one floor. I'm curious how many floors Rays needs to give each of those teams practice time. I think CA Plano said they have 6.

CA Plano usually has around 30-32 teams, so typically a few more than Rays Marietta. Stingrays have 6 full floors. CA Plano has 6 full spring floors, plus a 7th thats a dead mat. There really aren't any other gyms that come close to the number of teams as these 2.

Rays entire gym space is one huge spring floor. I believe there are 6 or 7 full size floors, but the only areas not sprung are when you first walk in.

Thats how it is at CA Plano too. All one floor, just divided into floors by the color of the mats.

How big is Stingrays Marietta? The logistics of scheduling those teams gives me a headache! They must have a huge facility!

Stingray's Marietta has two facilities (North and Main) about 20 minutes from each other. It's been a couple of years since I've been in the gyms, but ETA my daughter corrected me, Main has six spring floors and North had two spring floors and one mat floor.

Wow almost no senior teams. The higher junior age plus international even higher by 1 year) really killed the senior divisions. I really wish the junior max age could be lowered back down and international could be got rid of.

Not really, Stingray Marietta Sr. teams historically have revolved around:

Rose Sr 1 (hit or miss team because there are usually only 1 or 2 actual Sr. aged athletes on it)
Pink Sr 2 (usually only a few actual Sr. aged athletes on it)
Lime Sr 3
UV Sr 4.2
Frost Sr 4
Spice R5

This year:

Lime Sr Md. 3
UV Sr Md 4.2
Moonlight Sr. Md Co 4.2
Sugar Sr Md 4
Spice Sr Md 5

The Sr. teams basically remain the same with the exception of the 1 or 2 athletes that may have required them to be on a Sr. 1 are now on Blush U19 and the few Sr aged level 2 athletes that would have been put on Pink Sr. 2 have probably been placed on 4.2 which has expanded from one medium team to two medium teams. John's Creek has a very successful Sr 2 with Obsidian, and while it's only my opinion, I can understand why they would prefer not competing against each other if they don't have to.

ETA: Oops, I forgot to add that John's Creek, also, has Rock which historically has been a Sr. 1, so again, that would avoid overlap.

Some teams had been left out when I wrote my post. At comps though I’ve noticed there really is a lot less senior teams across levels 1-4.

TG Revelation switch their division into Senior Open Large Coed 6! It is going to be interesting since they will compete against Wildcats and Cali Coed

The Marietta gym is split into the main gym and the north gym. The main gym has 6 full floors and the North gym has 3. Parking is a nightmare at both but especially when more than 1 medium and/or large teams are at North.

Depending on how many little level 1s they have sometimes Grape will alternate with Mint (mini 1) Peppermint is medium this season and is comprised of most of the kids that were on Grape last season. Berry is for those Tiny aged kids that are just not quite ready for elite. Berry was a team a few years ago and isn’t new.

Was hoping for a return of Crystal! Black Diamond has been their level 5 (or R5) in the past, so makes sense too.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the change of head coach 4 years ago (I think?), the team names follow the coaches and so if the coach leaves so does the team name.
