Preliminary Schedule!

Looks great, I just wish Small Limited finals and awards weren't in Jostens! =( IOC is in the Milkhouse for each round, why can't they bump a few of those into Jostens and move small limited into the Milkhouse?

I know! When I think of the milk house you would think the more popular divisions would be in there. Especially senior!

I have a question about the tentative schedule. It says that all the International teams have to go through Trials and Prelims on Saturday, what does "trials" mean?

Not sure what that A and B for small Sr all girl means. And to have it split on who moves to finals. Can some one explain?

trials are for just the US teams (i think) and everyone competes then the top however many teams (possibly 5) will then go to prelims then after that 3 go to finals. it is so those teams have a better chance of getting to compete twice.

Is there anyone out there (possibly Acedad??) that could explain why the jr. division would need to go to trials, then prelims? It seems a little bit crazy with only 6 All girl jr teams. I don't recall ever doing that, even when we had 24 in our div. Will there be some sort of scoring criteria to get past trials? Seems like prelims to cut 3 of the 6 would be easier and make more sense. Someone mentioned you qualify at trials, didn't jrs. already do that through the video process in the beginning? Thankyou for any insight into this!

I'm not sure why, but I kind of like it. It's like a practice run through for all the teams, which I would hope will help them in the actual prelims. They will get to experience warm-ups and actually compete on the floor where they will have prelims so they will know what to expect! Think of it as a showcase!

I'm confused. So are junior trials just for the U.S. junior teams? And then they all go on to compete in prelimins? I agree that it's nice for them to have a practice/warmup. I would like it too. But it doesn't seem to make any sense whatsoever.

Personally I feel like USASF should have done a random draw or use the video submission results (either scoresheet) to determine the order of competition for prelims. Both Jr All-Girl and Jr Coed have less than 10 teams so everyone it making it to finals anyway.

I kind of like the idea of getting a run through on the competition floor but I am not sure getting up that early is worth it for these kids and then prelims only 2-3 hours later. The team that really loses here is Cali because they could be competing in trials at 5am PST which is nuts!

I do too!!

Worlds Schedule

Can someone please post the link to the final schedule? For some reason, I cannot find it. Thanks!

Trials is for all the US international teams. Frankly, since only 3 teams are going to finals, it allows the teams that make the trip to compete at least twice.

NEW… US Worlds Trials:
All teams from the United States (US) receiving bids and entering into the Worlds International Divisions must first compete in the US
Worlds Trials early on Saturday, April 24th. The top 10 US teams, from each division, will be ranked and will progress to The Worlds International divisions
“prelims” later that same day and will be reverse seeded based off the US Worlds Trials results.
1. All non US teams receiving bids entering into The Worlds International Divisions and the top 10 ranked US Worlds Trials teams must compete in the “prelims” on Saturday, April 24th.
2. A maximum of three (3) of the highest scoring teams from “each country” in each International division will progress from “prelims” to “finals”
on Sunday, April 25th. The performance order for all divisions will be reverse seeded based off the preliminary results.
