there is something going on. and im not exactly sure. but what i do know for sure. is that my gym will not ever attend another xtreme spirit competition! EVER!!!! lol.

What a terrible competition. They really did not know how to score the teams and the difficulty level. Do not think many will be back next year.

Look everyone, you may not agree with how this competition was run or scored but please do not take away from these kids and coaches that have worked just as hard as all of the other teams. Please be respectful of them if not anything else!

I agree something is Weird on the judging. What I did notice is that the teams in first place had little difficulty but were super clean.
And no twisters did not have an injury? I'm pretty sure legacy had an injury.

Legacy was missing their point flyer and had a number of injuries.

Say what you want, but my team hit! We throw full n 1/4 imediate scorpions. We had a solid day. You can't take that away from my team. They worked hard to be in first. They did their job and was rewarded for it. Yes other teams have hard routines, but with mistakes they aren't far behind. Its not crazy that if you didn't hit, your not winning.

Good luck to everyone today!

I just wish your girls would have been better sports. They were heard by many people making rude remarks to a number of teams. This takes away a lot in my eyes. This was not the first time I have heard this either. Winning is not everything and good sportsmanship is just as important.

For everyone complaining and saying "What a terrible competition." ... how about you educate yourselves before making comments like this that make you look ignorant. Xtreme spirit has their scoresheet available on their website. Everyone here had access to it before the competition. It is 100% clear that execution is extremely important. It came down to who had the least amount of mistakes for the most part. Difficulty had a definite part in the game as well. Rebels was the ONLY team in the division that hit. Heat had one stunt fall.... Ultimate had two... GBE had two... Cheer Command had two... HEAT ended up in 2nd because their routine was extremely difficult. So yes-- difficulty WAS rewarded, however if you did not hit, it wasn't going to do you much good. Who hit---won. My friend has videos of all these teams from today and I will gladly post all of them for you to see. Seeing it in person, I know that the bids went EXACTLY to who they should have. Sadly several teams had bad sportsmanship because they are sore about not being ahead of teams with less mistakes. Nobody is perfect and every team is bound to make mistakes at one point or another. Get over it. You don't have to take my word for it... but I will post videos soon and you can all make your own opinions based off what you see.

I think the placements today were accurate. I do not think yesterday's placements were accurate but that's my opinion. Allstar Rebels hit 2 days in a row. All other teams had at least 1 fall. It seemed to me that crowd appeal played into judge's overall effect. It was ironic that the order of placement coincided with the number of falls a team had. It may just be a coincidence, but I don't think that teams should be placed based off of number of mistakes they have unless they are all scored the same, which would be odd to me seeing as if everyone hit I think their scores would be different.

Small Senior 5:
1 TIE. Allstar Rebels-0 falls all together
1 TIE. Heat-1 fall all together
3. Cheer Command-2 falls all together
4. Green Bay-3 falls all together
5. Ultimate Fusion Athletics-3 falls all together
6. Speed (not sure how many falls)
7. UA-4 falls all together
8. ?
9. ?
10. ?

Congrats to all the teams that received their world's bids!

Anyone know the situation with Indiana? Did they already have an atlarge or something? The 1st and 3rd place teams in their divisions got at large bids, but they didn't...???

Well first off indiana already had an at large. That's why they didn't get one.

As far as sportmanship, I think that my kids were awesome. They cheered people on all weekend. Even before they knew placements the first day. We even came out from the back to cheer on HEAT who actually almost beat us. Also when ultimate fusion performed my girls were again up front. In fact ultimate fusion girls stepped off the front of the mat to hug my girls. We came into this competition hoping for a top 8. This is our first year level 5 and are no way cocky about it. And despite rude comments made to them from teams saying they shouldn't be in first they continued to cheer everyone on. At the end of the day I am proud of everything they accomplished this weekend. And we were more then happy to share the moment with HEAT.

As far as sportmanship it was defiantely lacking from a lot of teams. From rude comments to mean chats from teams. I'm just happy that at the end of the day teams didn't allow the negativity to bring them down. So please do not direct any comments at my gym or my kids like that's. Because they are simply not true.
