I think I've been to Stats, but I also remember (although I didn't pay for it) the food was on the spendy side.

Vortex is awesome but you have to be 18 to get in... Gladys Nights is good as well, although I don't believe they are really set up to have a large group together, maybe a few separate tables though... There is a place called the highlander that has REALLY good food and they are open very late as well which is a plus cheersport weekend, it's on Monroe drive in midtown

Mary Macs Tea Room is a good place too. They have private party rooms and are within walking distance of marta (just one stop from gwcc)

McCormick and Schmicks seafood is soooo good! i think its near the gwcc too! kind of pricy though.

Is that place good? I drive by it all the time and wonder if it is worth trying.....

Just to chime in on OK Cafe...yes...it is very, very good! I had crawfish cakes, and some of the best macaroni and cheese I have ever had there...and my friends meals were equally as good. I don't think there is a bad item on the menu! Mostly southern style, but with a contemporary twist. One of my favorite places!

I have never understood the Hard Rock / Planet Hollywood appeal.

It is a dry overpriced hamburger with soggy fries... for $25... sitting next to a guitar that Buddy Holly played.

Agreed.. Which is why I said don't go to those places since you can go there almost anywhere...

I googled and googled and googled until I found the restaurant I went to three times in one weekend there!!! It's called the Metro Cafe Diner. The website is http://www.metrocafediner.com/ and the food is FABULOUS.

Inside the CNN center across from the GWCC there is a mexican place. It is huge and it seemed like the servers were all use to large groups. There is also a Taco Mac inside the CNN center.

There's a ton of places all around! Do you want to go far or somewhere within walking distance of the wcc? In little 5, which is probably a 20 minute drive at the most, there's a lot of stuff. There's Two Urban Licks, which is a bit fancier and a little pricey but really cool. Not the kind of place you can wear warmups to. There's also Tijuana Garage and Front Page News right next to each other in little 5. Bo are very casual. If you go up into buckhead, there's an endless number of places. Probably a little far from the wcc, but you can take marta to pretty much anywhere in the city! Bricktops is really good and has all kind of food.

I can't think of all the best restaurants, but I'm from Atlanta so let me know if you need any more help! Your choices are endless, but it really just depends on the number of people, price you want to pay, and how far you can go :)

I love Mary Mac's...I grew up in Atlanta and that was one of my favorite places to go when I was a kid! Let's not forget the Varsity, it's an Atlanta staple.
