they did well, but its messy. they need it to be more sharp. standing tumbling was not timed well and the stunts were shakey...
the cleanlineesss is where other teams will get them...
alot better but they need to clean alot of it!

I think this is very good and a major confidence boost for them as well, yet, I don't know. I'm just not feeling that "They're worldchamps for sure," factor yet.. nobody jump on me about this, I'm just stating my opinion and hopefully they can just give me that wow factor that I usually get from them! Regardless, they're looking much better!!

I feel like it's almost "un-WCSS like" that they changed their routine. Last year I think it was on the ESPN Worlds broadcast, the announcers pointed out that they were one team that had competed the exact same routine all year long. Had they changed routines in previous years at all? Not that it's bad or anything, just an observation!

like i said before, they have only been working with the changes for less than 5 practices at the point that you all saw. and they were coming off 2 rough weekends in a row.

i am almost positive that all of their coaches have eyes and can see the obvious that you are all mentioning. clearly the skills aren't perfect. and i'm sure they will be worked on.

I miss the old music!

Me too!!!

Anybody notice if their routine is under the time limit? (snicker. . .snicker)

They changed the music because they felt it was un WCSSish. They don't usually have new songs in their music for the most part, so they changed it.

I'm glad they changed it. The old stunt music brings back bad memories! Everytime I hear that song, I think about their stunts falling=/

i think CEA has proven so far that it doesnt matter if your music is over the time limit.. so why pay attention to it at all :-P

i feel like worlds is going to be the only place it matters.

Stars have always tweeked their routine throughout each and every season!! The routine that you all see from their kick-off, regardless of year, has always been different by the time Worlds rolls around! Any team that doesn't make changes, in one aspect or another as the season progresses, Is one that I would like to see!! As far as the ESPN Worlds broadcast goes; well we all know the level of education, as far as the cheer industry is concerned, that those announcers have!!! Meaning real time experience as an all star cheerleader!! Big famous names commentating during routines at Worlds, does not mean anything, especially when they are reading from a promt!! Just sayin ya can't go by what ya hear on a broadcast, just cuz it's televised!!

just my few little opinions on this "new" routine
- I prefer the old formation for standing/toe/one to fulls, however I think from the front this one may look a little cleaner
- THANK YOU for changing the TERRIBLE pyramid song
- Stars seem to be one of the weaker teams in terms of jump height, but are getting pretty darn good at timing!
- Rippled doubles, I still love you
- I think everyone should just go back to 1 1/4, I think judging by Indy (I know it was a bad weekend) the 1 1/2 is not working for all the groups, and I think 1 1/4 looks cleaner, and after all, you aren't going to win if you're not clean... well... maybe not.
