But when you're out on the floor, you represent your team and your organization. I understand that the girls and guys on these teams are nice kids, but the image portrayed by some of these comments say otherwise. You have to remember that people judge your character (or the character of your program) by the image you present. Personally, I would just rather not have that kind of negativity. There is definitely a way to get across your kick booty-ness without bashing someone else (even if you don't call them out by name).
well if you have a problem with our music talk to our coach.
and if you think we are mean then whatev. thats your opinion and ill respect it.
plus, i have seen worse voiceovers and "you's just a hasbeen" is in a song.

You can be fierce without ragging on others. When you get older and have been out in the world maybe you'll see things differently.

Agreed. Judges perceive these vo's differently than athletes. We just don't enjoy hearing rude comments.

First, take your bloomers out of the twist they're in. I quoted just a few that were most recently listed in the thread, I didn't specifically select your gym or team. Second, just because its in a song doesn't mean that its appropriate, in my eyes. There are plenty of songs out there with awful, derogatory lyrics- that doesn't mean its ok to use them in your routine.
I'm simply stating my opinion as someone with 26 years experience in the cheer industry (athlete, coach, industry supplier, working with event producers, and as a judge). But hey, what would I know?
