I'm thinking about trying out for HPU this year and have already been accepted but I heard they don't have a coach anymore and that Garin got fired?

Fraternization among many other things, probably.. Seems weird to "resign" in the middle of the national season, while still asking the kids to "fight this." Hm..

It's not appropriate to speculate as to why Garret is no longer the coach. The only person making a statement should be the university. They'll issue a press release announcing that he is no longer the coach. If they want to release the reason why, they will, but they aren't required to. HR matters are usually kept private.

I was wondering what was going on with HPU because they didn't go to the usual NCA camp they usually do (according to the bids on the NCA site for nationals). Did they do a private camp this year? If so doesn't that mean they have to pay everything for the trip to Daytona (rooms and travel), that would be pretty dang expensive for both teams.
I wish Garin and HPU the best of luck. Whoever gets Garin as an employee will be a lucky person because he has talent coming out of his ears.

the full paid bid pays for hotels and most of registration, not travel though.

The "among many other things probably," is only a speculation because I'm not exactly sure what all the University knows about what was happening. However, I can list several things for you that I know went down, and that would warrant a firing. But, the fraternization is not at all a speculation.. He told the entire cheer program, and unfortunately for him, cheerleaders aren't very good at keeping secrets, and are in fact very good at forwarding mass texts from their ex-coach. He was fired about a month ago, and there still hasn't been a press release... It's probably not coming. Although, I can't say that I know the standard procedure or timing for that.
Also, I don't know is Garret is.

If you don't know who he is, you're certainly not qualified to be commenting on his professional career. The only people commenting on WHY he is no longer coaching are him or the HPU Athletic Department. Anything else is considered a rumor, and if untrue-could be considered libel.
