ICE athletics was opened in 2003 (not related to ICE of Indiana) and in 2007 or 2008 they were sued for the name and became The Illinois Cheer Company. There was an issue with the owner in January of this year and the owner of ICE in Indiana ended up coming in and taking over the gym so all the teams could stay together.

and they had just moved into a brand new gym with 7 cheer floors a full sized tumbling deck with tramps and tumble tracks and it was huge. A week or two later this happened and now they r having problems with the new owner......

Two gyms that I really miss that haven't been around for a LONG TIME are - AACU (All American Cheer United from Texas) they were just sick back in the day - and Gym One - they were another West Virginia gym like Basics, very humble program with fun choreography and soo much skill. Haven't seen them since 2003 I think.

Isnt Gym One the Pittsburgh Superstars?!

just noticing this this weekend at cheersport, but does anyone else ever wonder what happened to the somewhat predominant gyms from like 06 to 08 that have kind of just vanished? some i was thinking about is prospirt, power from california, basics superstars, etc. it also just may be because none of them are from my area, but does anyone know the story behind these gyms/ any other gyms like this?

ps kind of on another note but can someone explain the whole ice ordeal? i'm probably real behind on this, but i know that some indiana gym from circa 07 or 08 was switched to illinois cheer co. for some reason and now i guess they were turned into ice aswell?

Pro Spirit didn't have enough girls to fill out there small senior team so they called up The Pride All-stars and two from Envy Cheer which created a merger of One Spirit which has a small senior team and now a international coed team

Cheer Zone out of Kentucky? I feel like there was more than one gym with that name. I haven't seen them in at least 2 years so not sure!

They're still around. They were at cheersport last weekend with quite a few teams! I think the talent isn't as good as it used to be but I don't really follow them so not sure!

Anyone know what happened to West Coast Mavericks or Champion Cheer Outlaws (I think that was their name - they were black blue and white) both teams were awesome around 99 - 01 era.

Champion became SoCal Elite then in 2008 they merged with Cheerforce. In 2009 WC Mavericks merged with So Cal Elite and Cheerforce to form Cheerforce San Diego. The owners have always been good friends and with the economy, decided to merge to have a stronger program. We have been very successful as CFSD. Even though we are CFSD, we are still part of all the other CF teams as well. (5 gyms, 25 teams)

Does anybody know what happened to Tital Elite in Southern California? They were a very good program with nice people.

What problems with the new owner????? We are a part of ICE and have no idea what you are talking about. Darlene is amazing.

I really miss American All Stars out of Jacksonville, FL (I was on their Junior 3 (Junior Black) team 07/08)..They're now Premier Hurricanes. They merged with Flordia Elite and some other gyms.. They're still pretty good just not as well known and their colors are now purple, blue and white
