i got in to my first choice!
University of Western Ontario!

i live in South Carolina.. and even though im from Canada and only moved here 3 years ago im TERRIFIED aha
i know its what i've always wanted to do, and where i've wanted to go so i'm going but that is sooo far away from my parents ahah!
good news is - all of my other family is there

congrats on western if they had graphic art there it would definitely have applied :)

and i got into OCAD (ontario college of art and design)!

I'm considering Vanderbilt and Middle Tennessee State right now.. I really don't want to go far from home.
MTSU is literally 10 minutes from my house and Vanderbilt is an hourish.
Not sure if I want to cheer yet, but one of the Vanderbilt cheer coaches also coaches at ACE and I've met him at tumbling clinics and stuff before and he's awesome. MTSU also practices at ACE sometimes so the coach knows who I am and stuff.. but I don't know haha.
My dad's work also gives a full ride to one of their employee's kids to go to Vanderbilt, so if I get that then that would be a HUGE deal.

I have a 4.0 (hopefully I'll keep it through next year! hah) and I got a 32 on my ACT. I've also started looking at scholarships and stuff and it seems really overwhelming. Oh and I don't know what I want to major in so thats an issue as well.... haha I'm just a junior though so I guess I have a little bit of time left!

Geez your GPA and ACT score are amazing!!! I love Vanderbilt - I don't know why, I've just always been a fan haha :) & I love all of their cheer uniforms! I'm sure you will do fine with the whole application process and excel no matter where you go!

I'm not a senior anymore though I wish I was; but I reapplied to go back to Austin Peay State University and needless to say I'm going back to finish and get my degree in Elementary Education!

I'm not in high school yet, but I would love to go to UCLA:) it's in Los Angeles <3

UCLA is amazing. Even though I am a USC fan, I know a lot of people who go there & the cheer coach I assistant coach for works in the athletic department - it's amazing! Keep those grades up, work your butt off on your SAT's and get in as many extracurriculars as you can! :)

KU is a fantastic school and I was really close to going there, but ended up getting accepted to a different pharmacy school. Yes I go to their rival Mizzou, but have only had great experiences with KU. They have a good nursing school and they got 5th at UCA nationals this year. Their cheer coach Cory is so nice and their program truly is a family. Plus their basketball team is amazing and there is nothing like a game at Allen Fieldhouse! I also have several friends in sororities there and have heard great things about their Greek system.

I know quite a few people at KSU also and they all like it, but their cheerleading is more game oriented. They take many more girls than KU because they have all girl and coed squads, but KU only has coed. It's all a matter of personal preference and what you are looking for.

Since you are considering schools in this area, I might as well throw in some info about Mizzou :) I absolutely love it here! Columbia is the perfect college town and I feel like I'm getting a really great education. One of my roommates is in nursing school here and she really likes it. It's super competitive (average GPA was 3.85 this year for accepted students, but my roommate is really involved on campus and got in with a 3.6), but I'm sure all nursing schools are this way! We have strong football and basketball programs so games are always fun. Cheer usually has about 50 girls, 16 of which make mat since they compete NCA small coed. If you are interested in super-senioring Capitol City is 30 minutes away and their small AG went to worlds on a full paid bid last year. Tons of people from Texas (especially the DFW area) come to mizzou and love it so don't worry about not having any southern friends here haha :) I hope this answers some of your questions and if you have any questions about schools in the Midwest feel free to PM me!

This doesn't really have much to do with cheerleading, but just had to say but My BF is a pharmacy student at mizzou!!!

Anyone have any opinions on Eastern Kentucky University? I went to a college fair a couple weeks ago and talked to 2 guys from there and I really liked what they said about it.
