How about going back to these?

There are as many different opinions on here as there are posters (gee, I'm so profound ), but here is one. I am big time traditionalist on the uniforms. I like skirts, not shorts. Skirts that qualify for the name, not low slung micro minis. I don't like cut-outs on the top because too often they bunch up and don't fit well, but I suspect that may be more of an issue with the type of fabric used. Note how well the Cheer Extreme unis fit the older girls, but the style of the younger girls bunch at the shoulders and neck. Don't like off the shoulder or one shoulder. And while I do not care at all for the Top Gun unis shown here, I really like their lower level uniforms-again because they are more traditional: higher neck, long sleeve, skirt. While I know many equate traditional with old-fashioned/boring, I look at the more traditional look as classic and classy. Pushing the envelope in terms of showing skin does not impress me, skill impresses me. The uniform should enhance the routine by helping emphasize the clean lines and precision of a routine, not distract you from the routine as you gawk at the uniform. That's my two cents.

I agree. I prefer the more traditional looks as well. I saw a team recently with white booty shorts and very small midriff tops. Not flattering at all, even to the smallest girl. What was worse was that it was obvious that the girls were very uncomfortable walking around in the uniforms.

i like the Cheer Athletics uniforms, and maybe it's just because i don't like competing in anything other than a real sports bra, so i hate cut outs that make it impossible to wear one (although, i do like calis/cheer tyme/wc, and the halter style if it's done right). the uniform is well fitted, and makes it easy to move it, and looks super comfortable.

F5 new day 2 is my FAVORITE so far. and that little leaf thing in the hair is genious! The colors are awesome and its not overpowered with a huge logo. That being said, I love Shooting Stars as well....its very classy. Our uniform (FAME) looks great onstage...but its HOT!! That velvet is no joke!

Used to hate hate hate the 'all star' image like half tops and sparkles etc. Buuuuuuuuut I think after spending this year getting into the world (I'm a British uni cheerleader) I think its all starting to grow on me. I do think only seniors and at a push juniors should wear the half tops but I love nearly all the uniforms that the US teams are rocking this season.

I don't love the shorts look. There's a few teams where I'm from that have shorts on the bottom, and a top that's a cropped t-shirt sleeve, full body, high neck. Absolutely my least favourite style. I don't think it's super attractive because everyone looks super broad through their shoulders, and the shorts are really revealing if you don't absolutely love your butt. I think skirts give just enough coverage.

Top guns white worlds uniforms give me life..... i wish ua's would have come out more like those!

I completely agree, cheerleaders wear skirts and tops with sleeves. Not hot pants and sports bras with detached sleeves. Hot pants look absolutely, 100% bad. They are figure flattering on no one, and they give even the thinnest girls a belly. Plus, your butt cheeks hang out, and that's never classy. The hot pants/sleeveless combo looks like practice wear. Not to diss Tog Gun because I love them but what in God's name were those coaches thinking? I am a fan of the crop top personally, just for heat reasons. I get super overheated in full tops. I don't mind white in crop tops, but in full tops, it looks bunchy and gives everyone a tummy. I'm fine with off the shoulder as long as they fit every single member of the gym, even little girls without the bust to hold it up. UA's seem to fit very well, but I wonder does that extra sleeve get annoying? As for rhinestones, use in moderation. A few rhinestones go a loooonnnngg way

In my opinion, Cheer Xtreme has the perfect uni. It is simple and clean, but has some flash too. They did a great job incorporating their logo on the top & skirt - it's a look that can't be copied. The F5 day 2 uni is beautiful, a very gymnastics/leotard look, but I hate that they just have that little F5 on the skirt - to me it looks like an after thought. I don't mind showing some skin with crops and cutouts, but not on elementary and middle school kids. I love all white uniforms, but would hate to clean them. No to collars, not my style. Yes to sparkle & rhinestones. I have a love/hate relationship with shorts. I love that the athletes aren't pulling them down after they tumble like they do with skirts, but I love the look of a skirt.....hmmm, maybe skorts will be the trend next year :)

shorts- cute, as along as they are not too short
one shoulder- love them, but sometimes they scrunch up when you put your arms up
bedazzled- looks great on stage, really pretty
collars- I don't like them on uniforms.
white uniforms- super cute, as long as there's not too much white on the uniform

I like skirts and full tops. Rhinestones look AMAZING on stage. I like the classic look. I always feel bad for the girls who are not overweight by any means, but look it in the crop tops. Some girls look good, but not all do. White can work, but as mentioned before, keeping it white and not dingy would be a struggle.
