i am literally so amazed by the 4 routines marlins performed this weekend. it really reminds me of why i love doing this sport . the amazing bonds you create and how close you become with your team is amazing. i loved watching the girls in the 2nd time day 2 performance stand there when all the other stunts went up just jumping up and down. you guys deff inspired me :)
i dont think ANYONE will underestimate you again (; i am also on the hunt for a tsunami shirt now, so if anyone has one PM me !

Goodness this thread makes me cry everytime i read the posts... Amazing Team ,amazing Performances! I'm most def sending my friend to get me a a shirt when she's going to Maryland :)

.........it will go down as my fondest memory in all the years as well and yes, it was enough to make a grown man cry. Tsunami... round 2 did rise to the occasion and was an inspiration to many!
Oh Skeeter :( ...and you thought your sunglasses could hide your tears? I saw that bottom lip starting to quiver, then the tears started flowing from underneath. Just one more moment to add that I will never forget! God love ya!

Brea, I love you! You are honestly one of the most talented athletes I have ever had the pleasure of watching over the years. Your injury at finals broke my heart, but knowing what a warrior you are (YOU ARE SPARTA!), I can't wait to see what the future holds for you both with cheerleading and life in general. You are true champion many times over.

TSUNAMI! I can only say thank you. Not many get to see true inspirational moments in action up close and personal once in life. I had it 4 times this weekend and I feel as if I experienced something so special and intimate. You girls made me realize that adversity brings out the true colors that are in the heart of champions. I will never forget this last weekend. I have never been a part of something that was so raw with emotion and heart. I think each and every one of you made me a better person for allowing me to spend it with you this weekend.

I have been a fan of Tsunami for 3 years now since I first saw them in Philly at Cheersport. Each year they get better and better and more polished. They always come to worlds ready to fight for a spot and put on one hell of a show. I think of the little engine that could when I watch them. They are warriors on the matt, and are Fierce compitition for any one that compeates with them, yet the coaches, parents, and last but not least the girls are the nicest around. Polite! a quality that is rare to find. I wish them all the best in the new season and in school if that is where you are headed. What you all showed on the floor this weekend will take you very far in life.

You are all Champions in my eyes.

I've been a Marlins fan since their Semi team wiped the floor with my old gym's Semi team at a competition. We were like "oh, the fish team? never heard of them" lol.... I like surprises, I have to admit;)

What an incredible moment for all star cheerleading, in general. You've all certainly inspired the whole community, and proven what this sport is really about- not about who throws the most whip whip dubs or who has the fiercest scorpion- it's about HEART, PASSION, TEAMWORK.... giving everything you have when you think you have nothing left, knowing that your teammates and coaches will pull you through it, and being able to shine even through the most disheartening circumstances.

As a coach, I can only imagine the kind of pride that the Tsu coaches must be feeling after that incredible display of teamwork. Having had a major injury in warmups at Cheersport, I struggled to keep my composure. There are so many thoughts running through your mind- is the athlete going to be ok? is the team going to be able to get through this, mentally? will all of the work they put in this year end up being ultimately wasted? and a few panicky WTF ARE WE GONNA DO's are thrown around in between as well lol. I saw the heartbreak on my kids' faces when we had to break it to them that their teammate wouldn't be competing, and it honestly broke me. It took everything I had not to cry, but I knew that the way I reacted to it would be the way they reacted. We did our re-work, and had many teams in the warmup area stop what they were doing to clap us through our final run through before we hit the floor. I'm telling you, I almost puked before they went on lol...

Sorry, this thread isn't about me, but I wanted to share, because listening to that crowd on the vod reminded me of all the support we got at Cheersport. I give these Tsu girls a lot of credit for overcoming that and still hitting their routine, I give the coaches credit for keeping the kids on point, BUT I also want to recognize this wonderful cheer community that we have, where the support is overwhelming when it's needed most:) GREAT moment in cheer history, best of luck to Tsunami in the future, and really hope to see Brea have a quick recovery! <3

thanks to Xtreme Shots Photography for the action shot!
That flyer has an amazing spike:)

After watching them at Worlds, I think Tsunami represents some of the best attitude and sportsmanship I have ever seen in Allstar cheer. I spoke with some of the girls afterwards, and they were just as gracious, humble and appreciative as you would expect. Tsunami has made a whole new "army" of fans, me and my daughters included!

Did anyone else notice they stunted to "I Don't Want To Miss a Thing" and how perfect it was for their situation? I started crying a little watching it on VOD when the music went "cause a miss you babe..." and the tops pointed towards the crowd. And the stunt group missing a member was holding hands jumping up and down after the high to highs hit! #dying
