College. You said you'd go in the spring if you didn't make the team you want. You better check if the school will allow that or not. Cheer seems important now, but once you start college, other priorities come into play - like your future.

You need to look at your life 3 year from now? Will you have advanced your future in anyway by cheering another year? Probably not. What about by going to college? You will be a year closer to graduation and being out on your own, supporting yourself. Sometimes you gotta to toss away the pom poms and put on your big girl pants!!!

COLLEGE, you got that chance by getting into the school that you wanted, i wouldn't give that up if i were you. cheer there, or find an allstar gym in the area.

College! I attempted doing both college cheer, coaching, and cheering my super senior year and it was A LOT. I ended up just sticking with college cheer and coaching. As you already know, all star cheer is very time and money consuming and you will find out so is college...if you are able to manage both at the same time then that's amazing!

Most definitely college. If you are lucky enough to be able to do both as I was last year, you should definitely do that, although know it is very time and money consuming. Right now i'm sure it seems that there is nothing more important than cheering (thats how I felt my senior year) but once I got to college I realized there are many other things out there just as great as cheer and it might just be time to move on to bigger and better things.

college college college . I cannot emphasize it enough.... it's true when they say if you don't go fresh out of college, there's a higher chance that you'll never go. cheerleading is only going to get you so far my dear. it is a college degree that will get you far in life. i totally understand where you're coming from. this is part of growing up though, making adult decisions. the difference between want and need. you want to cheer. you need an education.

Think about it. Looking back when you're 30 or 40, what would seem more important? College. You don't want cheerleading to come in the way of something that could make or break your future/career. As much as it might seem hard to believe, college is way more important than cheerleading!

Just another thought..
Though i think school is first and foremost always, there are some really great community colleges in my area that will give you basic classes for MUCH cheaper than a University and offer guaranteed admittance to many area colleges and most, if not all of the credits will transfer. If you were dead set on staying home, I would look into this as an option.
