All-Star Maryland--over Saturated With All Star Gyms?

In Atlanta area you have Rays, GA, ACE of Atlanta, GA Heat, Jayhawks, Allstar Panthers, Icon, Twisters, Force Elite, Ellenwood, Thunder, GA Elite, NV, CTA, Platinum Elite and at LEAST 5-10 more. That is just in the Atlanta area, not the state of Georgia. I truly think this is the most saturated area in the universe LOL!!!

also add smaller programs: Longhorns, Force, Pro Cheer, Nitro, GA Comets, Cheertyme, Cyclones,CAO.

Nope I live on the south side of Atlanta, but years ago I worked in Alpharetta...I could not deal with traffic on 400
I was very shocked when a friend told me about this "new gym" but I guess we will have to see if it happens because I know so many people that say "I'm going to start my own gym because I know I can do it better than xyz" and they realize that its nothing that they thought it would be.
400 is a nightmare.

Theres so many gyms, but if this turns out to be the next powerhouse gym, count me in! :)

yes we'll be keeping black and gold this coming season! and to clear things up because i've been seeing a lot of confusion on facebook and whatnot!

...vipers will still be keeping our pennsylvania gym that we have had, our athletes from PA are not traveling to maryland...i know that people were saying our level 5 athletes would be traveling to baltimore which is not true...maryland and virginia will have their level 5 teams, just as pennsylvania will have ours! the only change is that we are one big program now, we have not lost any athletes etc. :)

looking forward to a great season...our evals started last evening and the talent is flooding in!

This is true! Ron confirmed every gym will have their own level 5 team. Prob all black n red uniforms before the end of this season!! For all gyms.

the PA Viper gym will be keeping their black and gold colors this season... all gyms will have the same colors next year
Good, because if I recall, one of your teams (at least one) has a beautiful black and gold uniform that has mesh sleeves with what looks like glittery stars. Very very classy. I hope Ron takes the lead from that uniform and not so much of the snakeskin look....;)

A. This makes my town sound lame, we only have 2 gyms. The other one is an hour away and is tiny. But Haydens is like 5 mintues from the other gym.

and B. HOW WOULD ANYONE EVER CHOOSE BETWEEN TWISTERS AND MARLINS!?
It depends on what is important to you. More of a family feel that is building success, or a more competitive environment that is already proven. Some people thrive in a competitive environment, some thrive in a family environment.

I think both of these gyms consider themselves to be competitive and family environments. While I agree these gyms have distinctly different personalities, I think this is an over simplification. Best way for someone to decide is visit before try-outs, take some tumbling classes, see what fits you best.

Very well put redsmom.

IMO you have to evaluate gyms like you would a school. You wouldn't walk in a a private school the first day of school and pay thousand and thousand of dollars and not have done any research or at least have a conversation with someone.
